Be Here Now - The Official OASIS Thread

Id like to dedicate this to everyone who reckons, and I will paraphrase, that Liam's voice is "shit nowadays"

This is a performance of one of his own songs, from earlier this year.

Even accounting for the heavy amplification, I think you'll agree he blew the roof off the RAH

His problems will always be maintaining his voice througout any length of a tour. He always starts off great in the first gigs but by the end does the typical short winded signing style and doesn't hit any of the highs. Aging has also naturally destroyed his ability to sing at a high throughout songs like he did on Wonderwall or Morning Glory. Now I think he has worked on it and gotten his voice higher but with more of an edge and growl to it. He has mastered creating opportunities to sing higher pitches but won't ever be able to recreate his 90's style because he has aged I think.

I would agree with that generally, but although some of the high notes are gone he still has immense power.

Most singers as they age deteriorate, and not only rock but all genres. Very few exceptions to that, Roger Daltrey being one. Even Freddie relied more on power than fineness in his later Queen and solo performances.

Noel G has resisted that trend too I think. Actually has improved.

My mum once saw him in Fresh N' Wild (food store) about a decade ago and he told her he liked her coat. True story.

Was never a fan but I appreciate their music more now that the industry just pushes out shit.

Liam calling out Noel to reunite for one last gig after the virus is over.

Hopefully it happens and they bring out the classics and
