The players havent got a clue how to play offensive football. All static no movement and sideway backwards passing.

Emery have to take blame in my opinion.

He is to blame. He left us with this group of players. Far too many of them are simply not good enough.

No its not!!

The fitst thing Emery should have done is improved us defensively, we look worse defensively than under Wenger. Our football is mostly poor and our attack inefficiency is meh. The players are capable of better as they have proved during parts of the season.

You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. Or at least not overnight!

For many, many years now the club has had a footballing culture of weak and pathetic defending, - and repeated patterns of huge drops in confidence whenever the players lose. It takes forever to recover. That is 100% down to Wenger.

We have seen significant improvements under Emery in terms of commitment and km covered by the players during games - and his intolerance of prima donnas, and propensity to make tactical substitutions no matter who is involved, is terrifically refreshing.

He simply must be given time and support to get the additional players he needs, get rid of the players he doesn’t, and use his well proven ability as a football coach to get us playing how he wants. And that support must come from the fans too. He has only been with us for a half a season. If people start turning on him now, as some idiots are doing by booing his in-game decisions, we will start getting into the damaging, toxic situation we had with Wenger, and that will do us no good at all.

So why didn't he sign more defenders? He signed two and 1 has been average at absolute best, most people would say dogshit.

All I'm really reading above is that he's not stale like Wenger and that makes him good, it doesn't. These half time subs might seem good because Wenger always left it til 70 mins but it means he has no faith in the players to step up after a bad half and obviously makes mistakes in his lineups if he has to keep changing it at half time.

Firstly he’s not completely responsible for signing players. And on that note I think it was great that he came out so honestly and said the club are giving him no money for the January window. It seems the owner doesn’t have anyone to hide behind any more, as he did with Wenger.

Secondly, it’s not always about having faith that this player or that can turn it around. Sometimes it’s about recognising how the game is developing, and making tactical changes to deal with that how you see fit - no matter which players might be upset by it.

But yeah, sometimes it is about players who have underperformed, and sometimes you have to make that all and get them off.

And his substitutions this season speak for themselves. The stats in regard to assists and goals prove that.

He may not be responsible for actually signing new players but surely he has to make his recommendations known to those who do.

He is solely responsible for the team selection and tactics and in that respect things are getting worse.

The recent losses at Southampton and West Ham and the draw with Brighton prove that.

We are going backwards not moving forwards and i think his refusal to play Ozil in recent games is not helping his case, he may not like or want him but as our only 'star' player you might feel his experience would be valuable in the team.

Emery seems to be shooting himself in the foot here, results matter more than being pig headed.

I can see little prospect of improvement with the current crop of so called senior players, it may be time to give some of the young guns a run against some of the lower placed opposition.
