Both Laca and Auba were always available to buy if Arsenal really wanted them, and could have had them cheaper too had we bought them early before the market inflated.

I reckon we would have won at least 2 titles if Wenger had addressed the striker issue instead of insisting that Giroud and Welbeck were plenty enough. Or if we actually had a Torr back then in the midfield.

We wasted a prime Alexis and Mesut partnership.

Wenger was such an arrogant fool. Failed to address the obvious.

Agreed. As much as I adore Wenger, his stubbornness and willingness to play CEO cost us 13/14 and 15/16. To think a few years ago, we had Giroud and Welbeck and now we've got Lacazette and Aubameyang.

That stubbornness was the single most galling thing about Wenger, a steadfast refusal to admit the path he was going down was wrong.

2 things he should've done and I have no doubt we would've won more titles - sort the goalkeeping shambles out (Almunia/Fabianski) and buy a DM to strengthen us.

To be honest, I was advocating we'd sell one of the two (preferrably Lacazette) in the summer. I didn't see how the two would fit into the same team. Instead of shoving one of them to the wing, I preferred us signing an actual winger.

So far I've been proved wrong. While I still prefer a winger playing out wide to a striker due to tactical reasons, I'm willing to compromise stability for the sake of having two top-class strikers up and firing in the team. That's a perfectly acceptable trade-off to me.

As it stands, we have the best striking partnership in the Premier League. Let's hope they can keep up the good form.

If we need a goal and go 442 with these two, oppo defenders will reach for the cyanide capsules immediately

Well done and well said sir. You are in a rather exclusive club within GW of having the minerals to admit to being wrong or mistaken, especially without it having first been pointed out in a rebuttal, scathing or otherwise. It suggests that your conscience is more significant than your ego, and I doff my cap to you.

The only club on the planet to have multiple forwards in the top 10 conversion ratio chart.

We're blessed to have them on our books tbh.

Wow it's so strange having two top strikers after years of mediocre ones
