Arteta would've presided over 2 of the biggest drops in value in the modern game - back to back !

And I haven't even included Auba's astronomical loss in value either.

None of that matters.
He’s also presided over the biggest increase in squad value in our history and got us back to being title challengers and back in the CL.
The finances only matter as a whole - the owners will undoubtedly care about the bottom line and on field performance, not individual player profits/losses.

You can't make a comment about the increase in squad value by ignoring what has been spent on players and what has been lost on players in that time Jay. When you take a look at the full picture its nowhere near the rosey picture you paint by saying he has presided over the biggest increase in squad value in our history.

He has bollocksed away 100s of millions worth on players and spent a truckload. Does spending+Losing £1bn but increasing the squad value by £500m equate to good business value ?

yeah it does.
If I take over and the owners have a player asset value of £500m and it grows to £1.1bn, they are happy.
It means every penny they spent has been covered in asset value increase and we've achieved CL and a title challenging squad.

The irony of whining about players like Pepe and Auba and how he ‘tanked’ their value , then crediting the previous manager with the value increases for Saka Martinelli and Saliba, lol.

Arteta Derangement Syndrome at its finest.

Saliba? The guy whose career he did everything he could to sabotage? Having a laugh.

Arteta won on the Saliba development.
Deal with it.

He destroyed his value with the repeated loan deals. Went out and splashed 50 mil on a replacement. It was Saliba who exposed him as a fraud. Now he’s taking credit for Saliba. Have some shame.

Saliba was bought for £27m
He is now worth close to £70m accord to Transfermarkt

His value has rocketed and he's considered one of the best CB's in the world - at 22.

Arteta played a perfect hand.
You tried to use Saliba against the manager, you lost the argument and Arteta won.
It's that simple.
All the bleating otherwise is not going to change it.

Arteta had absolutely nothing to do with Saliba’s development which is why in his first season in the PL last season he tore the league up.

He made all the doubters look very wrong in doubting him, he was already tearing it up in France and had been called up to the France squad.

We’re very lucky he was committed to succeeding at Arsenal, most other players would have move to another club.

Have to give massive credit to Emery for spotting his talent and signing him, amazing find.

If he has to take credit for Saliba, Saka and Martinelli, it shows he doesn’t have much to his name. I’d give him credit for Odegard and Tomiyasu. Good solid finds at reasonable sums. But really no one else.

We need a proper DoF, that's for sure.

Partey £45m + £200k pw
Willian £200k pw
Auba + Pepe £17m termination fee
Havertz £65m + £300k pw
Viera, Tavares, Lokonga - £70m spent, lucky to get £25m for the lot of them

Could have added Mudryk to this list had Edu not been outbid.

Ratcliffe at Utd is planning to clean house when it comes to recruitment. We need to do similarly.

I think Ratcliffe at Utd will be fascinating. He's a colourful character

I don't think he's the saviour they seem to think he is

It's a shame Mr Dein isn't ten years younger.

The Kronks offered him the chair at one point and he turned it down. Says he regrets it now.

It’s working well, 2 games two losses, 5 goals conceded.

Must be their lucky left wing back mascot.
