Arteta would've presided over 2 of the biggest drops in value in the modern game - back to back !
And I haven't even included Auba's astronomical loss in value either.
None of that matters.
He’s also presided over the biggest increase in squad value in our history and got us back to being title challengers and back in the CL.
The finances only matter as a whole - the owners will undoubtedly care about the bottom line and on field performance, not individual player profits/losses.
You can't make a comment about the increase in squad value by ignoring what has been spent on players and what has been lost on players in that time Jay. When you take a look at the full picture its nowhere near the rosey picture you paint by saying he has presided over the biggest increase in squad value in our history.
He has bollocksed away 100s of millions worth on players and spent a truckload. Does spending+Losing £1bn but increasing the squad value by £500m equate to good business value ?
yeah it does.
If I take over and the owners have a player asset value of £500m and it grows to £1.1bn, they are happy.
It means every penny they spent has been covered in asset value increase and we've achieved CL and a title challenging squad.
