We seem to be holding firm defensively which, when you can nick a goal, means you will win the game. From that perspective thats good stuff.

Elephant in the room
We are playing this season.half those teams are having a shit season, the banana skins can come from anywhere.
At least our last two performances as uninspiring as they both were we won

Context does matter for sure, but I don't think we should understate the importance of accumulating maximum points from 3 bogey away grounds (Old Trafford, St James', and Craven Cottage).

Our last 9 goals in the Premier League have been scored by 9 different players. Meanwhile at City, nobody has more than 1 goal except for Haaland (11).

We conceded one shot on target in October. That came yesterday.

An Eddie Nketiah header which no one even knew happened cos Raya caught it just above Eddie's head

Actually disappointed that's counted. Should be 0 shots on target this month

The issue is these low scoring physical battles are intense and wears you out. The players are more likely to be injured or fatigued.
If you score more and early the opposition gets demoralized and you get to control them in the later stages ( subbing, keep- ball etc).
Anyway, we have a kind of breather ( Brighton , Burnley, Slavia Prague, Sunderland?) for a week or two, but then late November will be intense.
Spurs, BayernM, Chelsea within a space of 7 days!

We have a squad that can absorb this, think back to Man City's dominance and their bench was always stacked with an abundance of riches. We have that now, I don't see physical battles as an issue, probably only area of concern is if Gyokeres gets injured, who comes in then ?!!
