Same here. We're not going to improve much if we do a swap deal and don't sign any other striker

If Giroud leaves it would explain the rumors of Wenger wanting Lucas to stay. It might also explain the links to players like Niang

I would be sad, if he's gone, but Laca, Perez and Welbeck are good striker options. Maybe a little one dimensional, but they fit us well.

Welbeck and good striker don't go together

He's a good third choice option imo. Shouldn't be starting for sue, but good enough for the early stages of EL and League cup games

Think it would be a massive mistake letting him go.

Considering the strikers we're linked with being pacy, keeping Giroud as second choice, even if he sulks, would be better.

Really weird comments when contrasting them next to his comments on lacazette. It was probably the same interview, but for some reason the giroud stuff seems to be being played up much more than the laca stuff.

Also, during the Lacazette comments he hints at needing an st before allowing Lacazette to leave.

I reckon talks might be a bit more advanced for Lacazette than he's letting on. As if we'd make contact with Lyon about giroud and not talk about Lacazette....

That bloke is a f***ing mug I swear to god.

Sort of prick you see in a club giving in the large behind his mate so you get Mesut to start on him anyway.

Giroud is a good striker we just never play to his strengths i.e cross the ball a lot. He doesn't really suit Arsenal style of play but I still think he is the best plan B in the league.

Agreed, we don't play to Giroud's "only strength"

Oh leave off. There shall be no tears shed by me if Giroud goes. Average striker with the ability to score world class goals now and then.

We don't play to Girou'ds strength because we don't play hoof-a-ball football. If his strengths suited a dynamic team full of movement and pace and technical interplay he would be great - but thats the problem, he is a dead footballer, static with shit hoid up play. There are dozens of them down Hackney Marshes.
