And how Emery uses his fullbacks when both 1st choice fb are fit and playing next few games will reveal that

What's confusing? , if you play wide through your fb and your wide forwards play narrower this fills the gap or disconnect we have had in midfeild, no longer needing the traditional #10,

Ready to fight is the clear message. Training hard is the clear message.

Now only if emery held accountability for match performances rather than training we would be much improved.

Staying until 2021. Stop making him the scape goat.

Hell yeah baby.

Is highlighting his poor performances and snuggling up to a borderline dictator making him a scapegoat?

I enjoy reading your posts. But please don't talk politics.

Fact of the matter is Erdogan is a democratically chosen leader of Turkey.

The Turkish people, the majority atleast, support him and have voted for him.

He takes a picture with the leader of Turkey. That's it. A f***ing picture.

Its beyond retarded to attack him for this.

So let's say Donald Trump, the idiot President of the USA who is causing a lot of disruption in the world. Let's say an American origin athlete takes a picture with him. Who f***ing cares? Trump is an idiot but its his president. He can take a f***ing picture.

Grow up guys.

Sacked 10,000(?) civil servants after a fake coup and arrested thousands more

Not the actions of a healthy Democratic regime

I dont trust anything about him, least of all anything to do with elections

Fake coup? Sure, just as fake as the moon landing.

You don't need to trust him, you don't even need to support him. He isn't your president.

Liverpool have a similar system because they don't play with 10 but they Firminho plays as a false 9 to plug the gaps and there attack is not totally dependent on specific fullbacks playing. It's not as if there whole system falls apart when their first choice fullbacks aren't available. Robertson and Alexander Arnold help enhance their attack but it's not as if Mane and Salah can't function at all without them. Mane and Salah were still banging in goals before they started getting games and Liverpool were still a powerful attacking team capable of scoring a ton of goals.

It's worth remembering what Emery has said about being a 'chameleon team'. Was reading a couple of blogs that reminded me of that comment. He doesn't have a nailed on philosophy for this team so this idea that it will all come together once we have our fullbacks might just be wishful thinking. I've never ever seen a team built around fullbacks or seen a total breakdown in all areas because a team is without their first choice.

No. 9, no. 8, no. 10 these are positions not roles. My question is do we want to create chances through the center and who is better in our current squad than Ozil to do that? Cebellos? Maybe. But I haven’t seen anything great from him as yet. Guendozi, Torriera, Xhaka? Definitely not. In a span of 12 months we lost Ramsey, Cazorla, Wilshere and Mkhitaryan. Granted they may have had to be let go or leave. But Ozil is the last player remaining who can create chances from the center. What’s the point in having three cutting edge strikers if they have to keep dropping back to get the ball?

I thought it was pretty obvious that as a Turkish person myself I'm aware of the things that have taken place relating our only Turkish player in the squad.

Let's face it, the shitstorm started after he took a bloody picture. With the president of his country. Or, since we are being the way we are being at the moment, the country of his parents. Of his ancestors.

After that picture, he was basically bullied out of the German national team.

The wedding came way after that, where he just went full 'f**k it' and I respect that.

Not that I believe Erdogan is a holy leader or anything like that who can't do anything wrong. But because I believe Ozil has the right to invite anyone he likes and its pretty bad ass to do so after all the shit he got for a PICTURE.

Cozying up to Erdogan was the wrong decision again why? Seriously? Because he's a political figure you don't like? That makes decisions you don't agree with?

Who's being the dictator if you are judging Ozil based on him being POSITIVE about someone you are NEGATIVE about? Isn't it HIS freedom to think what he wants to think?

The only thing we can agree on is that Ozils football has been pretty shit these last few years. He can do better, he should do better. That doesn't mean he's responsible for our downwards spiral, that's all on the c*** called Granit Xhaka.

Having said all of this, please let's focus on the football aspect of this subject.

Leave politics out of it. Bashing Ozil for liking someone you dislike is more dictatorlike than anything Erdogan has done in my opinion because you are discarding someone's opinion solely for not matching your own.

We cool Losmeister, I'm just annoyed everyone keeps talking politics when we should be focusing on football.

Politics has nothing to do with why this guy only shows up once a season, hes just a well paid lazy c***.

He retired after Germany won the world cup.

Xhaka comparisons are off also, at least he wants to play for us.

Xhaka = not good enough

Ozil = arguably our most talented player and never shows it so he is way more frustrating to watch, its not a new thing either, Gooners i know have been having this debate for about 6 years.

It's Erdogan. Erdogan is being the dictator.

Ozil is entitled to taking pictures with whomever he wants the same way you are entitled to your bad opinion. That doesn't mean that criticizing him is dictator-like.
