Santiago "Santi" Cazorla González ~ A Modern Day Great

Postby AFC10 » Sun Jan 04, 2015 8:02 pm

Couldn't find a proper thread for him so I thought i'd make one as he definitely deserves it.

Got a fair amount of stick from Arsenal fans over the last year or so but since his birthday he's looked like the player we got from Malaga. He seems to be relishing in the middle whether he's playing CM or CAM.

I didn't think he was as lively today as he has been in recent weeks but some of the balls he was playing were phenomenal. That ball he played into Theo with the outside of his boot to draw our 2/3 Hull players in the first half was utter madness  :cloud9:

I think our little Spanish genius deserves some love.

Fantastic player. He's getting back to his old form and I'm loving it. He's so good in tight spaces and his through balls are so damn accurate. Great little player he is.

Phenomenal play as of late from him. In every aspect of the game he has shown will, determination and skill. Just a ton of respect for him.

He is playing very well and has looked one of our best players recently, but I can't help but think he is being made look better than he is playing in a midfield that over the weeks has consisted of Flamini, Coq, Ox, an ageing Rosicky and Chambers.

You can put a lot of good CM's in that midfield and suddenly they would look amazing, standing out.

Is it me or has Cazorla really upped his defensive game this season. Looking more and more like a CM than an AM/WF with every passing game

Comfortably our second best player this season behind Alexis. He's been outstanding in recent weeks and with Ramsey, Wilshere and Ozil all out we've really relied on him to be our main creative outlet. Great to see him back to 2012/13 form.

Its that 2012/13 responsibility.

Its that 2012/13 responsibility.

It's certainly benefited him playing more centrally as opposed to being used on the wing to accommodate others.

I honestly think at this point Ozil is by no means guaranteed a starting spot when he returns. He's never been as good for us for a the number of weeks Cazorla over the past month or two.
