Missed today's game due to family commitments. A rare one. Though approach these games w/ trepidation because of our history in these over the years ( decades, to be honest). But , can hardly believe the reports and the score line!
I'm generally optimistic ( in spite of all our past failings), and think the team that has been assembled over 3 yrs, has a character. These boys are a bit different from the others in recent past, and they do have some desire.
Let's see if they can carry on the momentum test of the season, especially in important games coming up.

Good post
We can only win our games the rest is up to other sides to take points off pool.
I do think with a bit of luck and hopefully a signing up front we could have a CL run fingers crossed.

Putting City to the sword in their worst season in a decade is not an accomplishment. To win trophies we have to beat them at their peak. As City slide, Liverpool have filled the void. Not us.

This !! i think folks are losing sight of this.

Nobody is bemoaning a win, but come on, if we couldn't beat the shittest version of City there has been in well over a decade when could we !!

Yes, they bought the league., and we didn't.
But, should always be happy to humiliate the cheats.
Pool is ahead due to our injuries and unbelievably biased red cards. But it's not game over yet for the Dippers.

Always some reason other than incompetence for not winning the league. The other team bought it, even though we have spent 700 mil, the injuries, the refs etc.

During summer, Arteta brought in a Midfielder and a defender, and everyone was up in arms that he didn't get a striker. Now we find Skelly and Nwaneri have established themselves, and taken us to another level.
Maybe, they're working on some more gems from the academy behind doors, and that's why he's not bothered to bring in strikers, at this point?
We never know the whole story but throw tantrums when we think it doesn't matches our limited knowledge and ideas!

Could be that. Or it could be that the bloke doesn’t know what he’s doing. Five seasons of failure later that seems to be the case. To your own point. If we had Nwaneri and MLS, why did we buy Calafiori and Merino? Were they shit in the summer, and turned over a new leaf in the winter? Or did the manager not know what he had until injuries forced his hand?

A sh__ manager w/ 60% win record. I'll take that at this point , especially w/ Pep crumbling and Klopp, who couldn't stand the heat!

Mate, who cares if he has a 60% win record when he’s won a single FA cup in five seasons, and that too with another manager’s squad. And as you say, with Pep and Klopp crumbling he should be running away with it. Quit making excuses for failure.

1 cup in 5 seasons

With a 60% win record

What's more important?
