Zidane is unproven outside Real Madrid. Anchelotti 's 2nd season at Chelsea was dreadful. Anyone could win a title with star studded Chelsea those days. Like anyone can win La Liga with Real Madrid filled with superstars.
Anchelotti's real test came when he took over Everton. Managing and improving a struggling
team.Did poorly and ran at first instance for greener pastures.
Few managers have the balls to withstand pressure and improve a team. Arteta has done that and will deliver major trophies in near future.
For all practical purposes, no other manager in sight to do better at Arsenal at this point.
Talking about Zidane, he has clearly stated that other than Real Madrid he would like to manage the French team. Doesn't seem to have the balls to go through the hard grind needed at Arsenal. Wants the easiest way out, manage well endowed and well built teams ( already) where competition is less intense.

You only get trophies for being number 1 and beating everyone else, everything else is kinda irrelevant, history doesn’t remember who came 2nd, noone ever goes this team were great remember when they came 2nd twice in a row, what an amazing team.

Losing finalists in the CL final aren’t celebrating after the whistle for getting to the CL final, FA cup finalists aren’t happy when they lose the final.

Absolutely

Too many man babies in our support who think they’re in primary school, arguing with school kids that their club is the bestist. Pathetic.

It’s become normalised at this club to have excuses for not getting over the line, we’ve had 20 years of it.

Always next year, we came 2nd last year this should have been the year when we won it, yes we’ve been good this year bit a season runs from August to May not from January to May, we had a poor run late last year and weren’t great then we had breaks galore and had a good run in January/February but a title winning side is relentless in the home straight bit we blinked and that was tha(.

Everyone was saying how Man City aren’t the same and how this is our chance, how we beat them and Liverpool etc but at the end of it all it looks like they are going to go home with the trophy.

We could have beat city with the chances Jesus had in the away game, that and the Villa games looks to have cost us.

Come on.

He’s won 3 consecutive CLs, noone had even defended it before that, never mind winning it 3 times, he also won the league.

Arteta isn’t even proven at Arsenal, he’s not won anything of note, how are you calling Zidane unproven and Arteta proven?

Chelsea was a complex club with huge egos, despite that he won a title, it’s more than Arteta has done, he’s also done it in Spain and Italy, France and Germany, he’s also won 5 CLs, there’s really no comparison between the two, he’s at a completely different level.

Thing is managers can be convinced if the money is right and environment is right, Everton got Ancelotti, Spurs got Conte, we just never try.

What pressure has Arteta had to withstand, he’s had 4 1/2 years, huge amounts to spend, stability, 100% support and no expectations of trophies basically.

That’s not pressure, thar’s the opposite, any manager would love to operate in conditions like that, but these managers don’t get the luxury because the big clubs they go to expect trophies and won’t sit around for 4 years waiting for some.

Fulham away and West Ham were costly too, so was the Fulham home game.

Yup, if we had a proper striker we would have won it

Ancelotti did poorly at Everton? Lol wtf

Did well enough to get real Madrid interested

Had a shit ending to the season but were top 8 for most of it but couldn't maintain it. It's Everton lol. They've been nowhere near as good as they were under him since

It's the spending that occurred in the 2019/20, 2020/21, and the 2021/22 seasons that got Everton into trouble with PSR which lead to the recent point deductions. Ancelotti was in charge of Everton in two of those seasons.

Ancelotti is not really the guy you hire to take an outsider up a level, that's just not what he excells at, hence the mixed stints with Everton and Napoli.

Carlo is the reverse Emery. He's the man you appoint to extract maximum value from a squad full of superstars. His track lengthy record of being able to manage egos and forge a unit speaks for itself. The ability to man-manage the so-called big personalities in a liberal way has played a significant part in why he's withstood the test of time better than the likes of Conte and Mourinho.

Some award given to Arteta

It says this:

It has been a highly selective and rare accolade since its inception in 1815, only awarded to people and institutions for their extraordinary services to Spain, or the promotion of international relations and cooperation with other nations.

Just confused why they gave him this, when has he done any of these?

Throughout his successful career as a Spanish, British and international football player, and now as Arsenal manager, he has shown outstanding leadership and impeccable sportsmanship.

He never played international football lol
