Hopefully a couple of signings as well.

I don't know if anyone would say we have a defense on the level of Real, Atlético, or Liverpool, but we're heading in the right direction and a lot better than we were 4 months ago.

For sure. But if you look at just clean sheets it hides how close leeds were to scoring, hides the golden chance Olympiakos had from the header in first 15 mins which should have been a goal and other similar ones.

Of course not every chance is a goal and we will always get away with things like that (all teams do) but just want to make sure we don’t get too carried away. He’s doing a good job solidifying the defence with what he has and hopefully a couple of signings will push us on to be able to take more chances going forward without sacrificing the defence.

I’m sorry but this pic is bullshit.

After 2 mins they had a good chance, well saved by Leno and lucky it didn’t fall to any of their forwards. 1 min later they have a header from 5 yards which should be buried and 1-0.

Not saying we didn’t defend quite well just said don’t get carried away ffs. Any decent striker scores that header on 3 mins so looking only at clean sheets is silly.

Olympiakos created f all? Wtf

Leno is our motm for a reason. Made a couple of great saves and hey also had a free header my gran would've scored from.

Not completely. From Arseblog: By the Numbers:
They have made two passes inside our box in the first five minutes then could only made another ten for the rest of the match. One shot in the first five minutes and zero after that.
The header was offside.

Oh was it offside? Guess that would explain why it wasn’t on the pic tbf

Very good result,

Very questionable performance. No clue how we won this

Ancelotti humiliated by superior manager Arteta. No surprises there.

I didn't like the starting lineup, but he did have a point going with Nketiah over Laca, and also after seeing how exhausted Saka was in the second half I understood why he started Kola instead.

He used his subs much better today than he did since his appointment.

Good game, unfortunately what Everton has troubled us at the back. Richarlison (c***) was dangerous everytime he got the ball.

Still, fairly even in terms of play and we finished better so bye bye Carlo

I'm judging him on results and we won. We also rested Laca and Martinelli who will be fresh for the Europa League game.

Were the line up and tactics dodgy? A bit. Am I convinced by Arteta? No. But if we're getting results then I'll get behind Arteta. So I'm happy today, at this stage of the season results are all that matters.

Good result today so credit where credits due, lineup was questionable as someone mentioned, but 3 points is 3 points.

Think Everton were unlucky, had almost twice as many shots and could and should perhaps have gone away with a draw at least.

Aubameyang brilliant again, without his brilliance we’d have lost, we’ll have a real problem when he leaves in the summer.
