is it any less cruel than shooting something? i'd say no at least the foxes die quickly

Except it doesn't die quickly, it's chased to exhaustion and possibly mauled by dogs, then killed. And for what?

maybe you should look at what fox hunting is and it purpose. It's no different to badger culling

they dont toy with foxes they chase them (something you usually have to do when trying to catch something)

They chase them on purpose. You can't equate it to culling.

Just a mechanism for tories to behave like the animals they are.

And all in the name of 'tradition'

Compared with the labour voters who all go out striking and rioting from time to time?

And here I was thinking voting was confidential? How did you gain access to which people voted for which party and the activities they engage in?

I fail to see how people going on strike makes it okay for rich people to go out and murder animals in the name of tradition.

legally murder can only be committed on a human. Fox hunting serves a practical purpose of pest control.

These animals are dying in inhumane and cruel ways just so some posh toffs can get themselves off on slaughtering innocent animals. Pest control is another issue but if the population does need to be contained then this does not excuse traditional fox hunting methods that is just animal cruelty.

No it bloody doesn't !
I know quite a few who used to regularly do this and they weren't remotely interested in pest control - just riding round like total W****rs thinking they owned the countryside.
A mate of mine who's dad owns a large local farm got so pissed off with them continually trying to encroach on his land to chase the foxes he threatened to shoot them. (bit OTT I know :) )

Foxes need to be culled in a humane way. Hunting with Dogs is not humane, its not practical, its messy, not to mention cruel.
