I've wondered what will happen if they don't reach an agreement.

If its for the sake of 1 year, would he really go? How much of a risk would it be? It could be a lower prem club that he ends up at.

He's been treated so poorly with this contract fiasco. He must be thinking they don't think Im important.

PSG have shown interest in him as have Fenerbahce. There were murmurs about Man City's interest as well.

If he wants 3 years, give him 3 years. That's another 3 million in wages from what we offered him. If we bought a new right back instead with that money you can be certain they won't be as good as Sagna.

According to media reports/rumours Wenger is interested in Dortmunds RB Piszczek (28).

Consider me the first then! :sneaky2:
His game isn't based on pace, and it's not like he's geriatric, he'll be 34 by the end of his contract. Dixon was 38 when he retired with us and was still a very useful member of the squad. And as others have said, he's capable of moving into the centre.

He is a quality player and we must pay the market rate to keep him.

Agreed. He's athletic enough to keep at this level for another three years imo. He'll still make a good CB when his legs start going.

I'd give him the three years. He must retire here
