Fantastic idea.

When my 3310 and back-up phone 5300 will finally die, I will buy myself one of these. Never been interested in spending €500 for a fancy phone anyway.

People like buying new phones. They aren't going to get a block for a phone..

Phones are fashion statements as well as being used as for communication, ain't nobody gonna whip out a block phone like that and compare it to a iphone or something.

Granted it's a cool idea though.

13th of May 2012 Arsenal beat West Brom 3-2 to finish 3rd ahead of Newcastle. Gooney is still yet to leave the forum...

People buying new parts for their computer is probably more popular than buying a new pc.
This is the future imo.

I think it's a good idea, but if the major companies can't find a way to make the same profits from it, then it aint' going to happen. They want people to buy new phones every year or so, not just get new blocks.

That's the crux of the biscuit.

The profit margin on a new phone will be much higher than it is on a new battery.

True. But people buy new phones like what? every 2-3 years? If this shits get out the companies will be trying even harder to get the best hardware and can focus on specific hardware(camera for example). I have my phone for 2-3 years now(samsung galaxy s2). I dont feel like buying a new one at all. But if there was a better battery avaible or faster CPU or whatever, I would of bought it. I believe if this shit will make it, people will start buying upgrades more frequently than the 2-3 years for a new phone now.
