Has anyone had any trouble with HP laptops? Thinking of getting one... it's $892, so about £515. Is that good for these specs?
4th Generation Intel Core i7-4702mq 2.2GHz CPU
Windows 8
DVD +/- & CD Player
3 USB Ports
USB Version 3.0
SD Card Reader
Webcam
Bluetooth
WIFI
2GB Graphics Memory
AMD Radeon HD 8670M Discrete 2GB DDR3
750 GB HDD
8 GB RAM
15.6 Inch Screen
1366 x 768 Screen Resolution
6 Cell Battery
1 USB 2.0 Ports
2 USB 3.0 Ports

And exactly how shit is Windows 8? Is it ok and just takes some getting used to, or is it completely unbearable?

Windows 8 is shocking. Download the classic shell so you can at least have the start bar back.

I've been avoiding Windows 8 like the plague but a computer at work has it on and it's a piece of shit.

So with the classic shell it's pretty much just like Windows 7?

The specs are looking good. And Windows 8 is quit good with touch screen, IDK if you'll get that in HP. But lenovo and some others have touch screen laptops which I think is not heavy on pocket also.
