Goalscorers should be in the box.
I want Carl Jenkinson back in a Arsenal shirt next season.

Remember the days when our corners used to hit the first man everytime?

Thats why.

Vermaelen is our best header of the ball from set pieces, hes the only one that ever seems to get his head on the ball more often than not.

^^^ correct.

RvP can header when he needs to, but he's not the type to physically bully players and rise above them. Vermaelen's our only man for that... our only starter at least.

Arteta and RvP take good corners. Even Theo takes decent corners (remember last season? A couple of freekicks too!) maybe he should be taking them allowing RvP to get in there just to add height. Still, Robin's the best from a dead ball, so it makes sense.

RVP takes the corners because he's the only one who can actually whip a decent ball in. And we have no other left footers who can take a half decent inswinger anyway

Do we even have any other left footers? Wilshere... Gibbs? Never been a fan of a fullback taking corners anyhow, regardless of his ability to do so. Verms is lefty, but hell to the no...

Yeah, RVP is pretty much the only lefty option.
This space used to be more fun...

I would certainly like to give him a chance to whip a few in and have RVP as an extra threat in the box.

That would work, actually.

The only problem is that Santos will loose stamina from running over to take the corner as well as getting back into position after the set piece has been taken. Tbh, I don't think Santos would want the extra work ;)
