We couldn't have gotten a worse group if we'd tried. Only hope we have is if the Italians are rattled by yet another scandal. Even so we realistically don't have a chance.

The last 2 times they were hit by scandal they won the world cup. I think what you need to hope for is for Balotelli to do something nuts which destabilises the whole team.

You have a rock hard group although you only lost once in qualifying so have some hope.

Yikes, didn't know that. Playing Italy first would have been best as they have often been notoriously slow starters. Getting Croatia who are better than us also doesn't bode well. Most of the peeps at home aren't expecting us to do much we are just happy to get to another major tournament.
Trapp has worked wonders with what is, lets be honest, a fairly crap team. I'd probably be happy if we just take points off someone. (set our sights low and anything above that will be a bonus)

Spain should qualify.

Italy are a rather average team these days, i can see Ireland taking points off them, just depends on what Croatia do, good team Croatia but lack that cutting edge experience i feel, i'd say this is the most interesting group.

we're gonna finish third ahead of the italians. We might even finish 2nd I think. We're unbeaten in 15 games away from home in all competitions and have kept clean sheets in our last five... Beat it...

13th of May 2012 Arsenal beat West Brom 3-2 to finish 3rd ahead of Newcastle. Gooney is still yet to leave the forum...

Spains back four certainly aren't unbreakable!

I'd say Germany has the strongest team overall.

Amen sir, strongest team and display the most entertaining brand of football. They also employ a 4-2-3-1 like us[Arsenal] but the similarities end there. They play with such pace, power and movement that you cannot take your eyes off them. They are strong on their feet as we all know but mighty effective in the aerial game as well. One team which has plan A, Plan B and Plan C plus all the bases covered.

I fancy Croatia being a surprise package in this group and pushing for first.

They've got the players to do the damage.

Think germany could win the world cup in 2014 also and emerge as the new It team just ahead of Spain.

Think 2014 could be a monumnetla disaster for Brazil, could be a big reality check for them, they look overhyped and outdated at the moment!
