Robin is staying - If Bouchra and his mother have a say

Postby TRA Dial Square » Sat May 12, 2012 10:29 pm

Basically this Mirror article is repeating what I and others have said in regards to "Family making the man". His kids being in school here, Bouchra loving London and not wanting to upset family life etc.

Also not sure how he would know but...

According to Frédéric Calange a french TV reporter, who knows well Bogosian (Laurent Blanc's assistant), Van persie is about to reveal to the whole team tomorrow before WBA clash that he'll renew with Arsenal.

And then we'll lose, spurs and 'castle will win, we'll be out of the CL and he'll change his mind again.

It'll be like Henry and the CL final all over again!

The same thing is being bandied about here by a million and one people... I tried getting hold of my mate but she's at the Airport about to leave England for good and her bloody phone's off.

I've got a feeling he's going to stick around and renew between October/January.

I reckon he'll end up at Spurs, especially after hearing how much he loves London.

As the season's gone on I'm growing more and more confident that he will sign a new contract, for a few reasons both on and off the field. On the pitch, we've shown positive signs that we're looking to progress with the signing of Podolski and links with big name players such as M'Vila, Vertonghen and Kagawa. I'd like to think Arsene has given him assurances of new players arriving in the summer. He also seems to truly love the club and has truly revelled in his role as captain this season. Off the field, as others have mentioned, he loves London and his entire family are settled.

However, I really worry that this all counts for nothing if we're not playing Champions League football next season. If we win tomorrow I have faith that he'll sign a new deal, but if we don't, I'd be extremely worried.

arsenal had there charity function on thursday at the emirates.
a taxi driving colleague of mine picked up some dinner suited guys who had attended
they said rvp had spent the most money at the charity auction
they were on a table with chamakh and szny
and chams was as dull as ditchwater and more interested in his mobile phone
and snzy was an engaging interesting personality.
i have not added to the talk of mrs rvp and family
i just thought it may be of some interest

^ Just kind of shows how charitable RvP is. Plus how much he loves the club.

What Bouchra has said is basically a carbon copy of RvP himself has been saying much of the season.

Knowing Arsenal, I still have doubt flooding around my head that he will still be an Arsenal player next season.
