RvP closing in on Shearer's record

Postby Arsenal Tone » Thu Dec 22, 2011 10:02 am

What worries me is he might be so keen to play that he'll play when he should be rested and pick up an injury!

I couldn't care less about the record, it is a team game. I'd rather have three points in the rest of our 2011 games than RVP break the record.

If it was an all time goalscorer record, even goals in a season record, I'd be a bit excited, but goals in a calander year? Really?!

Wolves hatrick, ive got a feeling that we will destroy them badly on the 27th. If they come out swinging, theyre going down i tell you.

Hell score 1 at QPR just to be sure as well.

Even a hatrick at Wolves only levels the record.

We need him to beat it and unfortunately I can't see him doing it. Unless of course yeah he scores against QPR as well.

A brace in both matches works just as well.

It's unlikely that he could pick up a hatrick Vs. Wolves or even 2 goals Vs. Wolves and 2 Vs. QPR?

Both at home, for that matter...

Are you sure about that? lol

I asked last night in the match thread, after he scored. How many he needs to level w/ Shearer. Was told 3.

Cool.
He needs 2 to level.
Because Shearer scored 36, and RvP is on 34.
36 - 34 = 2
