Wojciech Szczęsny

Will we get to see the boy, Wenger raves about in our carling cup team this season. If he gets Schwarzer , which is looking like there is some movement on, will Szczesny be no 2 to him. I dont believe Wenger has lost all hope on Fabiansky but I think Almunia's days are over at Arsenal. How good is Szczesny ? I have seen some you tube footage and he looks the part.

Dont think that he will buy schwarzer, if yes, then I think Fabianski will be nr2. Which im fine with, I still have all trust in fabianski. People forget he is still young, and he got his premier league 'experience' at young age, which can be good for his development.

In all probability, Fabianski will stay as no 2 to a new keeper and Almunia be off loaded. Another year loan for Szczesny, hopefully to championship football. I would like him to get a run in the carling cup if he stays.

I can't see AW getting rid of any of our keepers.
I think we're short of a GK at the moment and if we buy a new one it'll just be a case of whether he's the new number one or number two.
Say for example we bought Schwarzer, he and Almunia would compete for the number one spot, Fabianski would go back to being third choice and Shezknee would go out on loan.

Remember that he is only 20 years old, practically a foetus in goalkeeping terms.

Exactly, Mannone is ahead of Shezza age wise so you have to bear him in mind as well.
He could also do with a loan deal tbh.

I reckon Szczesny would be used as the Carling Cup keeper until Jan, when he decides if it's best to loan him out again.

Almunia will most likely be out and Fabianski will be No. 2 for Schwarzer.

Am I the only one who actually has higher hopes for Don Vito than I do for Shizzle my nizzle?

No-one can conclusively say that one is definitely better than the other unless they happen to be a Brentford fan who also supports Arsenal.
We've seen Mannone in the Prem and on the whole he was pretty good.
We've only seen Shezza on YouTube and heard about his awesomeness for Brentford, but there's more hype going round about him hence people getting excited.

Can't really compare them until Shezza gets a run in the Prem like Mannone did...

Very true and its because I have only seen Vito play that I am cautiously optimistic about him. He is still young but we saw what he did against Fulham and that can't just have been good luck. Anyway fingers crossed one of them turns out to be our new David Seaman.

Yeah he was great against Fulham but then made mistakes in other games. That doesn't worry me because it's typical of young players.
He'll learn and has great potential.
Haven't seen enough of Shez to make a proper comparison yet.

surely we can just swap Al and Schwarzer, lets face it noone is going to want to buy him. Plus Al doesnt have to move house.

Then id trust Fab to be no2,
loan out Vito for first half of season, see how he performs with regular games.
Szcezney can no3, and our CC keeper

we gotta give a bit of a chance to prove he can improve. Wenger isnt exactly going to get 2 keepers in this summer.

I'm all for giving him a chance to improve and I wouldn't complain too much if he was third or fourth choice but surely he's proven without a shadow of a doubt that he is NOT ready to be our number two yet.

In three years time he might be but not now and not any time soon.
