When I watched the match online I wasn't sure about the Kieron Gibbs incident but when i saw it on Football First I have to say that I think he was very lucky to stay on the pitch, I think that a lot of refs would have given him a red for that. Of course I'm glad that he stayed but that could have been a very costly incident for us.

not sure about that mate it was a tussle between two players , valencia pulled him back first and then gibbs pulled him down after , so a yellow was the right decision :dontknow: but your right some refs would have sent him off .

you was also talking a lot of shite as usual , saying we had handed villa fourth place and that we will finish sixth etc etc , you do the same in every match day thread , piece of advice , cut the knee jerk over the top negative shit as soon as we go a goal down :BangHead: have you not seen how many times we have pulled it back after going a goal down ?

I was away all day but lucky for me when I got home I found out the match was on FSC at 12am (yes weird time). I have to say we were no way 4-1 better than Wigan but I certainly am not complaining.
Gibbs was a very lucky boy to stay on the park, if it wasn't Wiley in charge I am sure he would have been off. Was gutted for Djourrou when I saw him go down because it was clear that he was in a bad way. 2 thirds of the pitch we were good but I was having heart trouble every time they got near our box, Silvestre didn't do anything to allay those fears.
I thought the whole game seemed to change when Ade came on, Wigan couldn't handle him at all.

I'd say it was a great result apart for suffering another defensive injury, but considering we didn't play great for stretches (especially in the 1st half) you can't complain too much. Roll on Villareal.

Gibbs was extremely lucky to not be sent off. Although if this was Man Utd playing, they wouldn't even get a warning!! Especially f***ing Ronaldo. I hate it when Refs get scared of the home crowd.:(

Gibbs was NOT a bloddy red.

The reason is because he was pulled back first.

The ref got it all completely wrong.... oh and MOTD are c****. ("there's Gibbs holding him back, it's a red"
