Wild. The easiest sitter he could have and he sends it well wide. Then bends one in from a harsh angle when the game was won. Mercurial.

It’s not mercurial. It’s that he’s not a clutch striker that one needs at this level. And who can blame him given he’s played in a role he’s not suited for.

Ball at his feet. Whole goal to aim at. Misses the target.

Easier to score than miss

I dunno, as Ted said, he didn't just miss, he missed by miles then scored with a far far far more difficult chance hitting the only part of the goal he could probably have scored in

Must admit I was totally disgusted with that miss and was shouting a variety of expletives at the telly. But then we’ve known for a long time that he’s pretty useless at simple opportunities, but does add other attributes to the team and also does score goals when he doesn’t have time to think about it.

The sad thing is, we are now relying on him massively.

What record is he posting?

He has got 15 goals in all comps right now, which is more than he's ever got in ENgland. his goals to game ratio is just over 1:2 which is near his Bundesliga.

So he’s broken his own record ????

he's never scored more than 14 ina season in England.

Setting aside his poor finishing and cloak of invisibility when the chips are down.....it is not normal to play a CF for 90 mins week after week with no substitutions and no rest.

Nobody needs that long to be "played into form". We know what Kai's ceiling is. We need to give him some occasional rest otherwise he'll be physically busted the way Saka is now.

Havertz tries hard and doesn't sulk, but he carries this look on his face that says "I don't want to be in the spotlight" and yet Arteta keeps making him play up top for every single minute.

I hate this try hard excuse.

Yes he works really hard and for that reason I'd never boo him or blame him personally.

However he's earning close to £300k and regardless It should be the basic expectation that any player works hard.

Ultimately the fact is he's not good enough

Does Arteta have another go at converting him into a midfielder ?

Otherwise he should be sold. Get £40m for him and offload a big chunk of wages.

Since the Premier League's inception in 1992/93 the league winners have had the league's top scorer only 9 times.
