Continues to be key to the team.
His movement and battling up front is stellar
What a 2024 he has had! - humiliating his haters.

Think he should stay up top instead of coming down to link up plays. Rather leave the linking up job to Trossard until Merino and/ or Odegaard is back.

I kind of rate havertz. he may not have any real discerable strengths, but he's proven he can do a job in the team and not be a liability. He's a german Fellaini at this point.

No discernible strengths?? He is very good at holding up the ball and linking up play, he is a good outlet, he does a lot of selfless running.

He should not be getting any criticism at all, he is arguably one of our most important players, without him up top we are f***ked.

Will take that

Was actually good at linking up play from RCM however we need him more up front, not his fault he's being asked to play more towards the right due to Odegaard being out.

Best position is CF, or where we need him more at least.

Yep, no discernable strengths. OK, he can head, and shithouse and buy fouls. big deal. He's just proving he can add SOME value. and we played £60m for that. I will continue to criticise him.
Jesus can hold the ball up, has pace, and is a good finisher. He isn't even it for the long-term but offers way more than Havertz.

He has been playing deeper than usual of late, due to absence of Odegaard and Merino and isn't getting into goal scoring positions often. Otherwise, he has been quite decent since middle of last season.

Ultimately not good enough. Not as woeful as he was in first half of last season in midfield and he's gone from sell level to squad level but starter? We need a striker

The goal yesterday lol, knew nothing about it, hardly counts.

Scored 3 others of course, the final goal in a rout against Bolton when they were well beaten (would expect a decent from man to score at least a couple against such a poor side).

So overall he’s been ok, but his goalscoring leaves a lot to he desired and two of those goals which were unimportant (and very fortunate in the last game), inflate his numbers somewhat.

His strength seems to be, dark arts and making a nuissance of himself, as for outstanding qualities, doesn’t really have any, just a physical player who uses a lot of gamesmanship and generally scores easy goals.

There's two points to this though, if he's not on the goal line no one scores it, second he has an aerial threat also.

Two things none of our other forward players give us.

I don't care if the ball bounces off his arse, they all count and for two long we've not had forwards who do that deep in box poaching so I'm happy as long as he stays scoring.

I agree - couldn't care less how he puts the ball in the net.
He's scored some great goals too.
Just keep scoring and also, importantly, contributing.
He's had a wonderful 2024 so far and now he needs to continue that for this whole season and beyond.

Bro are you having a laugh?? Jesus is f***ing terrible at holding up the ball, all he does is throw himself to the ground looking for free kicks that never come.

I never even said heading, don't think he is especially good at that especially given his height.

I said he has great link up play and he also has great close control in tight situations. Not to mention what someone else mentioned about making great runs.

But you carry on hating if it makes you feel better, the rest of us will enjoy his gameplay.

How/why not good enough? He has 3 goals and an assist in 6 league games this season, whats wrong with that?
