Exactly, a much much bigger game than the game against Newcastle, but very little fuss or furore over it, that’s exactly what I mean.
Refs are respected, sometimes they make errors but players and managers don’t constantly question them, football has become a joke in that respect.
IMO it’s more about teams being unable to deliver results of their own accord needing someone else to blame, like I said with the great Wenger teams (successful ones) it was rarely an issue, we were able to perform well enough to deliver and not need to blame refs on the whole.
It’s the same with City, they get bad decisions but don’t make a big deal about them because they know they are good enough to win anyway.
I don’t like this losers mentality we’ve developed where we have to kale refs rather than turn up and perform well enough to get the result regardless of refs.
