That's basically just a chart of what I have been talking about having seen it on the pitch for over a year now.
We're getting really close.
The challenge now is 3 fold.

1) get Arteta on a long term contract
2) get key young players on long term contracts
3) add 2-3 quality signings in the summer.

Do those things and we're genuine title challengers in the next 2-3 years (maybe even sooner).

The togetherness Arteta has achieved has been incredible.

The team loved Wenger ..... so what ?!!

Attack again was an issue today.

Nketiah was swallowed up by Spurs 3atb.

None of our attack had a good chance on goal, it was horrendous.

Again, I'm not a fan of this one up front lone CF and Martinelli and Saka are not WC like Son or Salah, plus they play on the wing, not as a proper Wing forwards like Salah and Mane do.

If we come up against a stiff defence we can't score, we need a Lukaku type bully CF if Arteta is going to keep being a rookie and stick with this formation.

Personally I don't know why he's so glued to it, but whatever, he should of bought a CF in January, but now we're hearing about Jesus?? love the player but he's not suited to that role either.

Attack has not been an issue for a while.
We played with 10 men today so of course it was going to be harder.
We looked like the team who would score prior to the penalty.
After the sending off, we're not going to be peppering their goal , obviously.

Fact is we play an inferior formation.

This is the same formation since fkin Wenger.

All the top teams play 3-4-3 and the elite play 4-3-3, simple as that, check the leagues all over Europe if you don't believe me.

Watching Conte's 3-4-3 vs our 4-2-3-1 straight away I could see what was going to happen, they were comfortable sitting on their 3atb, their WB's were right on the touch line giving them width all game and their 3 attackers were battering us on the counter until they forced us to fk up, we had no answer, our attack was non-existent.

Every team in the top 4 bar Dortmund play one of those two formations, but what does Arteta do?

With Gabriel injured, Holding unavailable, and White still not up to speed, Arsenal are in a defensive crisis at the moment.
Possible back four for Newcastle visit is Cedric, Tomi, Omar Rekik and Tavares. Xhakha or Elneny might need to play as a 3rd CB if required.

Just listend to Arteta's interview complaining that we were outmatched all over the pitch.

Does he still not get it, 4-2-3-1 is an old formation, barely anyone uses it now and for good reason.

Newcastle basically copied Liverpool and played a high energy pressing performance with a 4-3-3, something we've had trouble with all season, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, you name it.

Now I know Jay likes to think I'm playing armchair manager not because I'm wrong but because he's struggling to get any points on the board ........ but this is simply not down to opinion or guess work.

The stats are out there, 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 is used by practically every team in the top 4 across Europe.

Chelsea 3-4-3, Spurs 3-4-3, City 4-3-3, Liverpool 4-3-3.

Real Madrid 4-3-3, Barcelona 4-3-3, AC Millan 4-3-3, Inter 3-4-3, Bayern Munich 3-4-3, Dortmund 3-4-3, RB Leipzieg 3-4-3, Atletico 3-4-3.

Why are we using a formation Wenger used and was losing with years ago?

Arteta is clueless.

Our players get pressed and isolated everywhere and he blames his players, its pathetic.
