AFTV's DT jailed for stalking, assault, and kidnapping

AFTV star 'Mr. DT' branded "violent stalker" as he's jailed for three years

As 'Mr. DT', Arsenal supporter Liam Goodenough has earned himself a cult following as a regular on AFTV, but he has now been sentenced to three years in prison and labelled a "violent stalker".

A star of AFTV - commonly referred to as Arsenal Fan TV - who stalked, assaulted and kidnapped a woman has had his prison sentence tripled following a referral to the Court of Appeal.

Liam Goodenough, widely known as 'Mr. DT', was convicted of stalking involving serious alarm or distress, and kidnapping on 5 November 2021, at Aylesbury Crown Court.

AFTV declared on Monday that Goodenough will never be used on their channels again.

The court previously heard how he stalked his former partner as she went on a date and sent the victim’s brother messages threatening suicide and demanding to know the location of the victim.

The court was told how he used a tracking feature on her phone, drove to the hotel the victim was staying at and verbally abused her, assaulting her companion and proceeding to photograph her in a state of undress.

Goodenough dragged the victim out of the hotel room to his car, suggesting he had a knife and that her son was in the vehicle. However, when she realised that her son was not in the car she tried to escape.

A bystander intervened and the victim was able to get out of the car, before Goodenough subsequently escaped.

The 42-year-old, a long-time regular on AFTV, was initially sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment and handed a 10-year restraining order.

That's a bit OTT.
The only responsibility lies with the DT loon.

And their mealy mouthed response?

"We'll remove the 1 video with him since the conviction and won't take any revenue from it."

I don't believe that until they show us how much they made and show them donating it to a charity that supports victims of DT's crimes.

^some odd reactions.
Purging all content from people who commit a crime from everywhere they are seen online is not only unrealistic, but those that would demand it seem somewhat crazy, TBH.
When he has served his prison time, is his content allowed again? Or are we to exclude people from society forever? :dontknow:
Pitchfork mentality.

I like to think of Ched Evans as the perfect example of this. He committed a crime, was found guilty and sent to prison and rightfully let his contract expire. But once he had served his sentence and paid his debt to society, he should have been able to freely return to his career. But the foaming at the mouth "never forgive" brigade put pressures on prospective employers via the media to stop him earning a living. Thankfully he is now back playing at a similar level but the amount of cancel culture around is absolutely disgusting and hypocritical.

Yep.

Don't know why he thinks the onus is on Robbie to retroactively compensate an organization, he wasn't complicit.

I think that sending money for that video that was filmed before the court conviction was "known" to a domestic abuse charity would be quite sufficient. The thing is that all AFTV have done is delete it (pointless because people have already saved it and uploaded it elsewhere anyway) and claim they won't take the money they generated from it (without saying what they would do with it and how much they had publicly).

It's OTT and just a token gesture that's unnecessary. It looks good but I'm not with the fake outrage as if AFTV have to atone for something. Production costs money and the staff at AFTV shouldn't have to pay for it.

If they want to delete videos and distance themselves from DT, that's their call. But it's not something that happens across the board in media. I'd be pissed if they decided to purge every movie produced by Harvey Weinstein.
