Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

I'm worried that we are repeating the Partey mistake. Paying over the odds for a player who wouldn't otherwise be interested in signing for us.

Well we could be in the CL if he comes so I don't get your point.

The whole reason why we have to over pay is to attract talent that as you say, would otherwise be going for a club guaranteed top 4.

Remember CL clubs already have spent on strikers in the summer, that is why January is a good time for clubs like us because we have less competition.

Chelsea spent on Lukaku, Utd bought Ronaldo, Liverpool have a settled front line and City spent £100m on Grealish.

......... that's how we nicked Auba as well by buying in January.

Its likely we won't have a chance with Vlahović in summer when every club assesses their attacking options.

Alot of clubs can have second thoughts half way through a season especially if the player starts making noises about leaving, again the big clubs already bought in summer, leaving us to offer enough money to tempt clubs into selling.

"Could" qualify for CL isn't convincing when you're signing over 5 years of your career. Normally a hyped player like this would wait until the summer, when it's known whether CL is on the table or not.

That's why we're trying to bribe him with money.

Fiorentina are close to accepting a £58.4m offer from Arsenal for prolific Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, 21. (La Repubblica - in Italian)

Should we be worried that no one else wants him?

Or are all the big clubs waiting for haaland/mbappe and we have no chance for them so getting this guy instead?

He'll turn out better than both.

Trust the process

City and Liverpool don’t need him, spuds have kane, Man U have Ronaldo. Chelsea lukaku.

So there’s no real premiership rival for him atm. Of the other teams in Europe who can afford him Barca can’t afford him, Madrid probably don’t need him right now. Main rivals for his signature is probably Juve but they’d rather not sell to them and I guess we’re striking now to avoid the scramble in the summer if there is a haaland move triggering things

He sounds and looks the part and would probably suit our football etc. He doesn't seem to bothered about signing however. We'd have him by now if he was interested.
Bayern may have him in the summer as RL is old and may be moving on.

I've said already, its January, the big clubs usually do their big business in Summer as they have first pickings, January is a great time to scoop talent for AFC.

We did the same thing with getting Auba.

Come summer we won't get a look in.

City bought Grealish for £100m, Chelsea bought Lukaku, Utd got Ronaldo ........ this is what's left us a clear run at Vlahović, if this is left till summer, forget it.

Real Madrid will make a move for Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic if they fail to sign Erling Haaland.

The Borussia Dortmund star is the club’s top transfer target, but they face competition for his signature from Barcelona and Manchester City.

Should the Norway striker turn down Madrid’s advances, El Nacional says they will turn to Vlahovic, who has impressed in Serie A this season.

So much for no one else wanting him

Also this is why he hasn't signed with us yet

What happened to the pre contract they were signing with Mbappe? They were desperate for him in the summer.

As second choice i would with view of getting a move there later or equivalent move, i think Real are going to go all out for Mbappe and Haaland.

Cant see us landing a top striker this January. We have a truly golden opportunity to get back into CL this season so we need to get some business done.
