I met a midget bloke on a business trip one year. He was in the hotel room next door to me. He told me one day that he'd found a local escort - tall blonde - and invited her to his room for that evening.

That night when i was in bed I heard all sorts of noises and sounds of exertion from next door. It went on for hours! In the end I dropped off to sleep.

Next morning I was having breakfast downstairs when I saw him seeing this young woman out. He then came across and joined me. He looked exhausted.

"Blimey," I said, "You were at it last night weren't you? I heard it all from next door!"

"Don't talk to me," he replied, pouring his coffee, "I spent half the night trying to get on the bed."

Why are you asking us?

I don't think we're your target audience.

More things being cancelled. did you not hear that M & S had stopped calling some sweets midget gems. I wpndered if it was apt or not.

You know what if they want to be fkin idiots let them carry on.

There is some real stupid sht going on in the corporate world, trying to gain PC points seems to be accelerating not decreasing.

As dumb as it is, these trolling moves are like water off my back now, got better things to worry about rather than some idiot in M&S's marketing or HR team trying to make their jobs relevant.

Is this the story about Investment giants giving scores to companies and organizations based on wokeness?

i.e it increases a companies value if they're shown to abide by PC perceptions and also increases their chances of being viable for loans and ups their "credit score" in a way?

You have to ask yourself, what is the end game here?

And how does it benefit them? The politicians and corporate giants I mean.

Why are some politicians and corporate executives putting so much time, effort, and more importantly money into this?

Well that's the question me and 22-0 are wondering.

There's 3 different sides to this, in fact 4 ......... scratch that there's actually 5, make that 6, final tally is 7!.

No wonder its working, we're all fked.

BlackRock & Mega Investment companies

Government's

Teachers & Faculty*

Media*

Businesses*

Far Left extremist groups*

Tech Giants*

The ones starred, their agenda is obvious, Media want the click bait and some are left leaning politically, same as Tech firms alot of them apart from Elon Musk are highly Left progrssive as are these Teachers ............ the ones I can't put the finger on are Gov't and BlackRock although I have my suspicions.

Gov't, Labour is obvious, they are Left and are co-opting the Democrat mantra, Boris Johnson though, mysteriously is actually allowing if not helping enact this on the ground level, the Gov't are allowing schools to carry out this curriculum etc so not sure what their game is from a traditional Right leaning party.

BlackRock, also ............ not sure what the end game is, although again, there is historical context here.

They probably want to push globalism because we know that Gov'ts and business learned during WWII that the one threat to globalism, banks and Giant corp is nationalism, which spawns from Patriotism.

There may be another reason, god only know's what goes through the hive mind of a Trillion dollar company at the top?

It's really not that complicated.

It's like when I was growing up and conservative Christian parents all over the US clutched their pearls and tried to cancel 'satanic' stuff like Pokemon, Yugioh cards, and Harry Potter. Didn't work because those were money printing machines.

On the flip side, the Dixie Chicks got canceled/boycotted because they dared speak out against the Iraq invasion, which was a huge no-no in the country music demographic.

DG, you're showing the commie mentality you've accused others of. A capitalist would be all for doing whatever increases the bottom line the most, no questions asked even if it went against their personal beliefs.

Firstly what stance have I even made?

Secondly, that's got to be the worst attempt at a WUM I've ever seen in my life.

Did you wake up this morning and decide "I'm going to fail today" because anyone can do better than that lol.

Also you didn't answer the main question .......... we know why business or those that are politically inclined have gone the way they have but the question is at the summit, BlackRock and Gov't why are they doing it?

So if you want to contribute something useful try that one.

Don't try to play dumb now. Every time some story comes up that you perceive as woke or PC, you go on (mini)rants about it. It's like clockwork. And the fact you brought up globalism like it's a bad thing is commie thinking. Globalism is the back of the modern capitalist system. Globalism can coexist peacefully with patriotism.

Do you know what a business is? BlackRock is a business so stop trying to differentiate it as if it's this unique entity that deserves its own category. The company is in the game to make money. If investing in companies perceived as woke or PC makes them more money than not investing in companies perceived as woke or PC, then that's what BlackRock will do. That's your "end game": making money and increasing shareholder value.

What about governments? If right-wing politicians lean too far into being anti-woke/anti-PC for the sake of being anti-woke/anti-PC, then that will likely hurt them at the ballot box from center voters (if they live in an area that isn't completely dominated by the right). So, they'll lean slightly into being woke/PC or try to find a middle ground that isn't exclusionary to the point where it costs them votes/elections from either the center or the right. Many politicians care about power. And money isn't the only way to have power, there is also legislative power, and I'd imagine it's difficult to willingly give that up, so politicians will do whatever they need to in order to preserve that power.
