Get a real CM and buy one not this loan shit. We needed one in the summer just gone.

Well we can buy a real one in the summer. I would assume Ramsey, whatever state he's in, is better than Elnenny and could give us enough of a cover in the midfield.

Honestly prefer Elneny, at least he holds his position. If we sign Ramsey I hope it’s on loan as a CF where he’s played most of his career.

I’d take a loan if we must but surely we must have longer term targets...it’s not like we’re surprised by our lack of depth or the AFCON. Are we just trying to get away with Xhaka - Partey all season?

Ramsey was way better than Xhaka and lokonga. Box to box and never disappeared in games. Even when he wasn't playing well, he always put in a shift. Fergie wanted him at united. I won't have it that Fergie didn't know a good player when he saw it, even if you can't remember the good things Wenger did

Fergie also signed Bebe and Kleberson if that’s your argument.

Much rather have that t***er Xhaka than a guy on 400k pw who can’t get a game in Juve’s equally bad midfield.

Any chance of getting in somebody before the Liverpool game which has become massive?

Striker and cm

Since when has the Carabao Cup ever been "massive"? the Spurs game is the massive one and I have a feeling we're going to get trashed.

It'll be men against boys.

Whether we want admit or not a Partey / Xhaka or a Partey / Elneny mid partnership is one of the strongest pairs of Deep CM's in the Prem.

We're not dominant in midfield without them and our attack has reverted back to pre auba being benched levels, that needs to change if we stand a chance against Spurs.

Well he's not is he.

Ramsay isn't a CDM so how is he better? he's certainly not better at winning the ball, Ramsay is better going forward sure, but again, different roles, Elneny is defensive, Ramsay is offensive.

Let’s be real. We are not going to secure a top talent in winter unless they are a contract hold out. It also seems like Arteta has a very defined way of playing with anyone new coming in mid season struggling to quickly adapt. Our best bet for the near term is Xhaka and Lokonga in midfield and Laca up top. Prayers that no one gets injured. Prudence would also suggest we keep Auba warm until the summer in case we need him. We are 1-2 injuries away from not having a senior striker.

This is the major issue. We are a laca injury and a Xhaka suspension away from throwing away any hope of top 4. We need to buy an experienced striker and CM in Jan. Even if they can't make the grade long term, they might get us out of a hole through experience along.

Come on Edteta, pull your finger out!

Partey will be back before we sign a midfielder!

Striker and midfielder.
We should have had it done by now.

We need a midfielder this week.

Mind boggling incompetency from Mikel & Edu.

Why have we let AMN go so early in the month.

If Xhaka doesn't recover in time (possible since he's not vaxxed) then are we really going to field Patino --- Sambi against Liverpool and maybe even Spurs ?

Don’t rate AMN as a CM but it is absolute madness to let him go before getting a replacement

I am starting to get mightily pissed off that we could be going into the NLD short. We’re not giving ourselves the very best chance of finishing 4th or higher.
Concerned we’re going to fail to take advantage of the progress we’ve made.

Striker and CM can not be delayed.
