Ready to say bye bye to your beloved donkey?

So he didn't finish top scorer cos there were 2 others from the same team scoring the same amount?

Wtf are you on about?

Lol imagine calling Auba a donkey and loving lackofgoalsazette.

Shall we compare their arsenal careers?

Yeah thought that would shut you up. Lol

It’s very easy to criticize the club now. But back then there was no choice.

If we hadn’t renewed all the typical tropes would have come out.
- Arsenal can’t hold on to their best players
- Kroenke doesn’t pay
- Arteta can’t attract big names
- etc etc

The pressure from the fans and media would have been unbearable.

Moving forward we should follows Wenger’s earlier policy. One year for anyone over 30. Take it or leave it. Set it as the standard so there are no surprises when we don’t renew.

Not a great deal in it between Lacazette and Auba TBH in the Premier League for Arsenal.
Auba is better on goals, Laca better on assists.

As a team player, Laca probably edges it in terms of where you would rank both in the their Arsenal careers. Laca has also never had the opportunity Auba had in terms of playing regularly. He's played less having been here longer. Last season he scored 13 PL goals in just over half a season of play whilst Auba was getting picked ahead of him and stinking up the place. I think overall he's a better CF than Auba, with Auba elevating himself above Laca when he plays left.
They are both behind Giroud, but all 3 of them have been just decent as opposed to being strikers that will be remembered when people think about the top Arsenal strikers.

It was pretty easy to be critical of the deal at the time and there were reasons given as to why the deal was horrendous. At the time it was actually all the usual tropes that were thrown around as to why we had to keep him..

'would get relegated without him'
'he's one of the greatest ever'
'no one else can score goals'
'he's the only top player we have'

etc..

It was all bullshit driven by FOMO, which Auba marketed very well in the signing saga.

Lmao I did a similar comparison last night and in the PL there’s 2 mins between them for goal contributions. ‘Zomg let’s compare their arsenal careers’ as if Auba has been any better :rofll:

Lost what?

You're telling me Giroud and laca are better than Auba?

What's happened to you? Used to be decent. Could have a laugh but since jay has become a cult leader of yours, you have been caught hook line and sinker by him and he's laughing at you.

It's embarrassing really.

Giroud has better numbers for Arsenal... what else should we judge Auba on?
Are you saying he has some other qualities that contribute to the team beyond goals that no one has noticed?

As for Laca, Auba is better goal scorer, but Laca is better bringing others into play and contributing to the team. Overall, I don't think any sensible fan would prefer Auba to start over Lacazette.

Just because you like Auba's haircut and masks doesn't make him a real super hero.

The whole team was setup to play through Giroud, it wasn’t setup to play through Auba and in recent times our game isn’t right to get the best out of him.

Giroud really was average, scored the odd good goal but overall average, Auba was very good until
recently.

Stats don’t tell the whole story.

Giroud was better for Arsenal than Auba at contributing goals - it's that simple.
He didn't score the odd goal. he scored more than Auba in a similar amount of game time.

Given Auba has nothing else to his game, it's hard to argue Auba was better.

All that is left are excuses.... of which we have so many for Auba it's hard to keep track.

That is what I thought.

I disagree, Aubameyang carried the team, the team carried Giroud.

Also like I said everything went through Giroud it didn’t go through Aubameyang so Giroud had the advantage and also in recent times the style of play has been wrong for Aubameyang’s game, it was never so for Giroud.
