Arsenal want to sign Ødegaard on a permanent transfer, but Real Madrid's intention is to keep him. Ødegaard emphasizes that he is concerned with playing time and stability, but also states that he "has a contract and is a Real Madrid player". [@vgsporten]

Good

They can keep him

Get someone fresh in.

From the limited action i have seen he looks solid, good on the ball, good passer. At this point I am of the opinion he can't be worse than Xhaka/Ceballos/Elneny, so play him and see. I have a feeling he will fit in just fine. All we need is a DM to screen the defence and the midfield will flourish.

Enough with this screen the defense shit. This isn’t 1997. The defense can take care of themselves. Throw them damn bodies forward.

Xhaka's move to Roma is very close, it could be done this week before the start of the Euros. [@calciomercatoit]

@FabrizioRomano: Emile Smith-Rowe is ready to sign a new contract with Arsenal until June 2026 after negotiations started in March. Just waiting last details to be completed - then it’ll be done. In the meantime, Willian is expected to leave Arsenal this summer as Xhaka and Guendouzi.

Willian too

Edu all is forgiven :hail:

Think we got off lightly.
We couldn't really have had that much of a complaint if it was decided that the clubs involved were relegated a division or 2 in their respective countries.

So reportedly we're after:

GK:

Odana
Ryan

Def:
Ben White
Tyler Adams

CM:
Neves
Lokonga

CAM:
Odegaard

ST:
Not a priority

That's pretty underwhelming list right there. Not one proven player.

I'm not even sure that's much of an improvement :rofll: :rofll:

Neves, Ben White would be good additions. We could do with a top cass CM, like Bernardo Silva, but they're not easy to come by. If we get someone from South America, then it would taking a risk, but could be an exciting one and worthwhile one. Turn out to be another Cazorla.

They're squad filling players. Not ones to turn an average team into a top-4 contending side.

We need an Alexis-esque signing but at CM / CAM.

Yeah players we’re linked with are very underwhelming, but we have huge losses coming and no European football which has proved very costly, on top of that the Kroenkes won’t invest a penny, all our money will come from player sales.

Artetas poor performance is already hindering us financially.

Not sure why we even need white, we’ve got Saliba.

That team looks underwhelming, we won’t get Odergaard as Real don’t want to sell, he’s also not worth anywhere near the 50 million reported, hes been okish for us nothing more.

I used to go in hard on Wenger's inaction in the transfer market, because he was just scraping CL qualification, and we needed a CB and DM if we were to go further than R16. That seems so long ago now.

These days, I'm more excited to see deadweight players leaving. Most of our arrivals have been awful in the last few years, so the deadweight has kept piling up.

The high potential guys like Saliba and Martinelli haven't even had a chance to show their true capabilities yet. The players we're linked with aren't nearly as exciting.

Rather see the shit gone, dont care if we get no body if wer dont sign players give the young ones a shot, what gaps there are then sign quality then.
We really dont know what we have yet the fiasco has been that much.
Dont have a standard system, too many loan players get rid of the lot.
Saliba cb
Guendouzi mid
Play ESR
Bring the kid back from new castle
Leaves a keeper to get
And a forward should auba or laca leave.
And should that happen I would toy with playing martinelli and pepe as a front two
