Proof that unlimited cash will buy success - best squad probably ever assembled - their bench all start for 90% of clubs. You can't deny that they are now far and away the strongest squad in world football ... and Pep's got 200m to spend this summer.

How ironic that the man who created the super league saga to "save football" is the owner of the club who can actually save it by winning the CL this season

The question is if it's Chelsea and City who do we cheer for?

Either another English club wins it before we do or Chelsea win their second and cement themselves as the biggest London club in history...

Laugh at the losers. Don't care who wins

And Chelsea will have to go some way to be bigger than us tbh.

Modern day Chelsea are the most successful current London club, but it's just money, Us and Spurs even the Spammers have stadiums that will provide income they can't match ... if/when Abo goes, unless he's built them a new ground, they will slide back to mediocrity.

Chelsea don't come anywhere near us for history and success.

Sadly, this is true. Money has ruined football, we railed against the closed-shop of the ESL, but in truth, the bigger clubs with sugar daddies have always got the upper hand.

United since 2013 have spent nearly the same, but nowhere near the results. Furthest they got since the 2011 final was the 2013 QF, and that was still majority Fergie players.

Would you have spent £50m for Kyle Walker, or Aaron Wan Bissaka?

£80m for Maguire, or £68m for Ruben Dias?

£35m for Fernandinho or £37m for Juan Mata?

You need the right players and the right managers. Fernandinho was Pep's most important player yesterday. When was the last time you even heard of Juan Mata doing anything at Utd?
