How is he going to say there is a lack of alarm at Arsenal, from the hierarchy and the fans and then saying Spurs are still in various competitions and there is more noise there. Nonsense. What more noise is there? The Spurs hierachy have said f**k all, Spurs fans are no more vocal than us, we moan more than they do!! They are used to not winning shit!
There are no fans at stadiums either, so how does this eejut know what the fans are saying!!
HH - you can bet Mou gets the sack before Mikel.
Yeah I feel the same. But there is no way the fans are happy which is what the author stated.
I think quite a large portion of the fan base are content to be mid-table.
I see it all the time in defence of performances and players and lowering expectations.
Started seeing it under Wenger - where he became far more important than the club itself in the eyes of far too many fans.
None of our fans are content to be mid table. Not a single one. But some of us have experienced it before, and know that it's just a matter of time before we are successful again. In the meantime it's pointless to continually moan.
Is it just a matter of time? It’s been 15+ years since we were successful and we’re worse than we ever have been since then, if anything we’re getting worse there’s no signs of improvement of success.
This constant support for managers who don’t perform is a problem, with I’m sorry but midtable shouldn’t be acceptable and should be a sackable offence.
Every year it’s the same, expectations are lowered and some fans defend the manager, first we went from challenging, top 2 to settling in the top 4.
Then we had to fight to get 4th every year, then we dropped to top 6, now it’s midtable. Everytime those same fans support the process and accept it.
Now we’re midtable and it’s accepted, excuses left right and centre, it’s the refs, it’s the lack of quality players, it’s the players not performing, it’s never the manager poor guy has got it tough, first management job in football with zero credentials handed to him on a plate by a big club with no ambition, earning big money for a nobody as well.
It’s really tough for him, he’s been handed and awful squad with players like Tierney, Auba, Laca, Saliba, Pepe, Saka, ESR and only got to spend on the likes of Partey, Soares, Ceballos, Gabriel, Odergaard, it’s really tough for him it really is.
There’s a real losers mentality amongst some Arsenal fans there really is, this club should never be midtable and anyone that takes us there should be sacked without hesitation, especially when he’s been outperformed by those before him who were deemed not good enough.
