He's another player that needs resting from time to time. He played all the international games and I'm not sure if he was feeling the effects but there are studies that say fatigue in players can make them more susceptible to these type of injuries.

Chaps, the injury was caused by impact - the challenge from the other player rolled his ankle. Unless you have ankles that don't rotate/move you too would've been injured by that tackle.

Out for 4-6 weeks means we might see him again on Matchday 38 or god willing, the EL final. This is at the earliest, so I'm not expecting much.

Yes they could... but if Luiz's injury means that we then have to play Holding for a month also...no they couldn't.

They won't play together at CB though.

He's played 64 games for us and Scotland since he returned a few months into last season. The issue is he's been overplayed, partially because we have no left-back cover who can deputise for him effectively.

It’s not ideal neither of them are mobile enough to get up and down, at least Cedric is or we play Saka there seeing as we have so many other attacking options available

That's not true. We had Kola until January. We also sent him out on loan. We could have kept him until the season end. He's not as good as Tierney, but he's not a dunderhead either.

I like Tiereny a lot, but he does seem to get his injuries. I agree he has been overplayed it's been that kind of a season for all clubs, but he was injured when he arrived before the pandemic and, as I remember, injured twice in succession not long after he came back. He needs to toughen his body up a bit, because he is fantastic going forward and providing those killer crosses.
