Just get a real job ffs.

Stock market is for people who know what they're doing, hedge funds have staff on thousands of pounds a week doing analyst and trading work who study the markets all day and get insider tips for a living.

Not some 4ft Dutch guy with a 1980's TV.

Stick to what you know, or your case ........ stick to whatever.

My mate has lost over £40k on the stock market.

interesting article in the Telegraph on Saturday suggesting that Brexit and Covid have placed UK shares on huge discounts compared to International rivals. Based on like for like valuations some giant Brit stocks trade at half the valuation of global peers, and its not justifiable. For example BT trades 71% lower than German and Danish peers. Other companies mentioned ITV, GSK, Imperial Brands etc.

if your mate lost 40k and is now close to bankruptcy then he gambled on options and calls with all his money.

Meaning, he is an idiot.

yup spread betting is not something for the faint hearted. The only time I ever did it was when they used to (may still do) offer a spread on a golfers 4 round score in a comp. I used to go long on every bet and generally did quite well. I heard some horror stories from people who dabbled on cricket scores, I recall someone going short on Aussie runs in a Test match and they just stayed in scoring forever!

................ its well documented.

He was giving 10k to those online brokers who spread bet your investment, goes up then went crashing down.

I mean, this was the guy who put 10k on a week before the first Lockdown was announced in March 2020.

Yes, that is how thick he is.

However despite his lack of common sense, effectively it was these online brokers who are losing him the money as they're the ones choosing his investments.

That is really weird man. My registration was done in no time.
But I have read that the had a very high amount of new users recently, that is why its taking longer.
Probably has to do with everyone leaving Robin Hood.

But be glad. If it was done 2 weeks ago, you would have bought very expensive stocks. After last weeks correction the prices are still very low, so a good time to buy

Premarkets looking good so far.
