Fabregas comes in at half time with Monaco trailing PSG 0-2. Gets a goal and an assist and ends the game 3-2. His legs are gone, he’s over the hill. But his experience and quality puts PSG to the sword. Why can’t we use Ozil this way?

Because Fabregas is a superior player to Ozil and always had been, Fabregas was all action type wasn’t afraid to get stuck in, could pick a pass out from deep, runs into the box, scores and assists.

Ozil on the other hand is a limited player afraid to put a foot in, afraid to shoot, can’t dictate a game from a deep area like Fabregas. Ozil will hang around up top waiting for a counter attack and provide the assist that’s about it.

Özil was superb when we were 2-0 down at Ludogorets in 16/17
Provided an assist for Xhaka and scored the winner. Lobbing the keeper and making two defenders have to pay to get back in again before finishing

Which one has played more club matches, more international matches, scored more goals, received more awards, and won more trophies? .... seems pretty serious to me.

Willian - plays sh*t, bunks off to Dubai without telling the club... Arteta ... all is ok we've dealt with it internally.
Ozil - trains hard and shows his creative class as well as putting more running than 95% of any other player in the vast majority of the games he plays... Arteta... you're banished from the club.

Ah, favourites and bullying - the hallmark of Arteta's early management style.

He schooled them that day. But it was still Ludogorets, a team we hit 6 against in the first leg, where Ozil got a hattrick. Being down 2-0 to them a week later is Arsenal being Arsenal, not because they're strong opposition.

If you deny Fabregas was better you were either too young to watch him during his Arsenal time or still bitter about him leaving and eventually playing for Chelsea.

I hate fabregas like I hate Ashley Cole but that doesn’t stop me from admitting he’s the best creative mid we’ve ever had, just as Cole is the best LB we’ve ever had.

You people need to learn to separate your feelings from you judgement.

What feelings? You lot that hate Cesc are weirdos! Most of you hated him because he left Arsenal and then because he went to Barca. He wanted to come back to Arsenal, Wenger didn't want him, so he went to Chelsea. Him going to Chelsea isn't the reason you hate him but it cements your reasoning - in your mind.

I don't hate any player just because they leave Arsenal, I don't hate RVP, Nasri or Ashley Cole. I don't even hate Adebayor. All this Judas bollox, its nonsense.

On the topic of Ozil vs Fabregas, both played different roles in different eras at the club. The Fabregas era had far better players. As a direct comparison it doesn't work but when you look at the numbers Ozil posted during the Ozil era it stands up to Fabregas' relatively speaking - i.e in spite of the drop in quality of rhe Arsenal squad.
