Yesterday he was ok. Mustafi failed to track Verdy. Leno did make a good close range save, I think, little before conceding.
He has to improve on high crosses and command of the box.

We don't want or need a goalkeeper who needs to improve on crosses. He's also terrible at distributing the ball.
At this level it's not unreasonable to want a goalkeeper without glaring weaknesses.

We should have kept Emi, but too late now.
Hopefully, we can get a keeper in January.

He wasn't at fault for the goal yesterday, that was us failing to defend against a fast counter. But there were 3 different instances where Maddison almost caught him out with a long lobbed shot. He'll get caught out on that sooner or later.

The vardy second chance he did not convert, Leno comes and stops vardy should never had got the ball Leno should have come with 100% commitment and gone down on that ball.

Has to be up there with worst all time Prem goalkeepers tbh.

Meanwhile Emi on the shortlist to take over from Neuer - £80m fee being touted.

WOW.

Leno was partly at fault for Vardy's goal as he was too far forward. You can move forward faster than you can move back. If he was central to the goal he could have got the ball before it reached Vardy. Mind you, the defence was nowhere to be seen.

This is what makes me question the intelligence of managers. You know Leno is shit with the ball at his feet in that way so why insist on playing that way with him ??

Look what happened to Karius at Liverpool, the guy stunk up the place making the same mistakes Leno is making, they got rid of him. But again, why did Klopp persist with him in that way in the first place when it was obvious he can't play that game ?! :dontknow:

When he can't catch shots he just needs to parry them well clear / or out of play like most top keepers do. And make his presence known on set pieces.

That's all.

Didn't like his lack of communication on that one. Has to be screaming at Mo to leave that. Just prepared to catch it and hoped for the best.
