Won't be rushing to buy his book. Just drags up old resentment.

Jose has a serious complex about Wenger. Even after all these years and Wenger's retirement, he can't help himself.

Butt hurt that he wasn't mentioned once in Wenger's book.

He took Wenger apart with one line "Because he never beat me, you're not going to do a chapter about 12 or 14 matches and never winning one"

Mourinho is jealous of a man who’s career he trumps completely

Jose is hurt by the fact he’ll never have the same respect or admiration that Arsene had, and it really does sting him

Did someone ask Jose a question about Wenger's book or did he just offer up the info randomly?

It's odd that Wenger doesn't mention Mourinho at all despite having a fierce rivalry. To me, it shows that Wenger still holds a grudge and isn't past the ugly moments. Mourinho is a dick to answer a question that way but I remember his attempt to offer an olive branch to Wenger when he returned to the Prem and things turned sour when Wenger kept talking about Chelsea. It's sad that this pops up again because I'm sure Mourinho respects Wenger and has paid homage to his contribution in football.

He was asked. Jose answered in a Jose way and he shut Wenger down emphatically.

Could he have answered in a more respectful way? Sure but Wenger disrespected him and Jose replied in kind.

Why would he mention him in the book? I haven’t read the book yet but I can imagine that the only manager he’d ever mention is Fergie, purely because of how close they became after he retired

As far as I remember Wenger & Mourinho actually went for dinner when Jose was coming back to the Premier League or when he left it, but Jose started talking shit en cue about 2 months after he returned

As I said, even though some loser journo brought the question up because there’s nothing revealing at all in the book, Jose is jealous of a man who he is more successful than - which quite frankly is very, very sad

Except Jose was saying Wenger never beat him.

That's a lie.

It's childish to pretend there wasn't a fierce rivalry between the two and Jose's arrival didn't change things for football. It's time to get over it. It's childish on all fronts to be honest.

Mourinho has nothing going for him other than his bluster at the moment. He’s gone from Real to United to Spurs. Next stop Bournemouth.

It's because he's a c*** and Wenger isn't.

Pretty simple really.

Basically.

Wenger wasn't the one who called Mourinho a voyeur or a specialist in failure.

These days, he whinges about lack of money, overspending by "big" clubs, FFP, etc. It's ironic because he is the original chequebook manager.

Why would Wenger walk to talk about a low-grade character like Mourinho in his book? The rivalry was always because Mou was butthurt than two titans going for the title.

He's also lying. Wenger has 2 wins over Mourinho. During the post-Invincibles season, Mourinho never beat us. Both games were draws. After that, we slipped down the table and never had the gigantic resources of a Chelsea.

If he had any grace, which is expecting a lot from him, he'd have simply said it is Wenger's book and it's up to him to write whatever he wishes. He couldn't because he's jealous, he's insecure, and, in his mind, Wenger has always made him feel inadequate.

A low-grade character.

I thought maureen might mellow with age, but he's becoming even more of a c***.
