Pepe needs to start over this new-age Welbeck.

£35m over 3 years. Or £11.6m a year for this piece of dross.

£110k a week, & £17.8m signing fee ( £5.95m a year)

No wonder Raul was sent packing.

How much have we spent on Luiz, Mari, Cedric, Suarez and now Willian ? Probably close to £100m.

United in discussions to loan Dembele. Total fee reportedly as £10m (loan fee & wages contribution)

One year deal being reported would be cheaper than 32 year old Willian who is costing Arsenal, £11.65m per year.

Levels.

I still think he's useful for some games and his experience will help the likes of Martinelli, Saka, Nelson and maybe Pepe, but I don't want him starting ahead of Pepe or Saka tbh.

A 31-year-old won't turn into a world beater all of a sudden. That's what Chelsea supporters warned us of, and those who watched him were aware of.

He will have games where he looks unplayable. But those games have interval periods. He is a good option to have. He's not a world-class performer, however. A hard worker with a great attitude? Definitely.

well when your agent has huge influence at the club. You gonna get looked after. Very similar to kolasinic except the age. free transfer is not as cheap as people think with the high wages and signing on fee. Also when he leaves here he wont have any value.

Willian is quality. Playing him out on the right is a waste of time, he can't get on the ball enough

I think he’s fine, we probably overpaid when you take the whole deal of wages and signing bonuses to him and his agent but really we have no clue how all the fees for any transfer really work so let’s put that to the side.

What we got was an experienced premier league and European winner who’s played under some top managers and hates spurs. He is inconsistent week to week and never scored more than 15 goals in a season I believe. He’ll have games like his debut where he’s class and games like Liverpool where he’s shit.

For me an ‘okay’ signing that allowed us to actually spend a proper transfer fee elsewhere while getting what should be a decent experienced backup for Pepe. The problem is Pepe isn’t showing enough to relegate willian to a bench player at the moment, it’s on him to step up and do that otherwise Nelson will.

Would rather have a plaeyr of Dembeles quality but lets be real here, he will spend 30 games out injured.

He wasn't even that good first game. Stat paddled his way to 3 assists.

Fine for one season, but I worry how we're going to get rid of him in a year when he's completely shot.

Looked a bit better through the middle though ... still a poor man's Ozil
