He grew into the game but I would still prefer Elneny against Liverpool.

Man is a fighter, started poorly but grew into the game. A superb run and pass to find Nketiah and win us the game.

He really can be infective at times. He runs around lots and throws in a few twirls which makes him seem more influential than he is.

Won back the ball at crucial moments though. Don't think he was impressive as Elneny past 2 games ... performance over name and everything

First half crap, 2nd half showed why we need him.

The way he keeps possession is everything to a 2 man midfield, he won the ball in loads of 1v1 situations.

Elneny is a solid player but does he make the run and pass that Ceballos does to win the game? No.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Elneny back in for Liverpool away next week.

No he wouldn't, but would we have been stretched so far on the counter attacks with a consistent Elneny playing in the middle instead of a attacking midfielder? this is why i think we are better off signing Thomas Partey than Aoaur (if we can only have 1), Partey would fit our system better.
