So despite the hype and the cringe-worthy video in the end it wasn't loyalty that kept him it was just show me the money. Don't blame the man we all work for money, but knowing that rather sours his legacy.

What I'm really interested in is what was the fee?

Jay & Santi thought it could be £30m, I said no way, it would be less and the fact that Barca wouldn't even give him £250k of wages shows they were keeping the funds for him lower than what he wanted.

I'd bet they offered £20m, £25 at a push, I don't even see them offering £28m.

AFC were likely in the mindset of "Don't want to sell but if we can't keep him then better cash in" for that amount.

If Barca couldn't even meet his personal / wage demands then no way were they throwing neeedless money around, why pay £30m when you could wait till January and get him lock and key for £10m?

This only sours my view of Auba due to AFC's cringey video, I told you it was cringe, now after this knowledge its even worse.

Firstly though I'll tell you I have nothing against Auba speaking to Barca, it was his fathers dream for him plus he must of thought Barca would give him a fat £250k wage at least if he is coming for as cheap as £20m (if that was the fee), but Barca obviously said no and AFC were happy to chuck on the extra £50k rather than fork out a £60m (approx) transfer fee for another ST ........... especially as we got nothing for PEA, AFC in a way were kind of trapped into offering him the extension.

Leave on a free, or extend.

Told you selling him was either going to be unlikely or done on a cheap.

Legend.

Good.

Barca would have lowballed us with a £25m bid.

More like "best player in the PL considering what he has to work with".

Liverpool could arguably have won the league without Mane.

KDB was dogshit in 18/19 (coming back from injury) and City won the league with 98 points. Aguero however is irreplaceable for City.

2018-19 'dogshit' KDB still produced 17 goals in 20.3 games in all competitions, playing half of his games in his new role as CM.

Whilst it wasn't his best season, even for his high standards those numbers are far from poor.

If we assume those are numbers reflective of an atrocious performer, what does that tell us about the other AMs and CMs in the League?

El Kun has the best goals per minute in Premier League history ahead of Henry. And, he's 4th in the all-time goals scored list. If he stays at City for two more seasons, he's sure to finish as Premier League's 2nd all-time leading goal scorer.

Nothing funny here.

Aubameyang has pissed on aguero since he joined us.

Aguero has a great history, no doubt. In the here and now though? Only one winner.

PEA has scored more than Aguero and in a worse team.

PEA > Aguero for me.

Why do we at Arsenal make fools of ourselves by releasing pressers making our players godlike? guys been here 2.5 years and we're already talking about statues ffs.

No other club does this, its embarrassing.

The time has changed, Mate. Arsenal PR and media team got many praises and rave reviews lately. The social media got tons of new followers and subscribbers. Some even said that we are the best and the most creative, and they are not even Arsenal fans. There's a web that compares Gabriel Magelhaes signing YouTube video with other clubs' signing videos like Barcelona, United, Chelsea and some others and they say that we are the best. Our YouTube just reached 2M subscribbers yesterday. Look, I'm not 100% into this myself since I'm not a young man either, but the younger generation likes the stuffs that we've done so far.

Maybe it IS just a generational thing.
Football is is so much more like a movie or TV show these days instead of sport.
I hate all this building up of suspense, which I think is deliberate - like a weekly cliffhanger on a TV show. 'Tunein next week to find out ...'
If this is what young people like in their sport, I guess it's no wonder the older generation find it so artificial and silly.
I'd rather just tune into the game and see how we play, hopefully able to celebrate a win.
