I believe he can, Mate. He has maintained high quality performance for years at Chelsea. He's not Mkhitaryan.

I think he’s gonna play a similar role to Rosicky/Benayoun that you’ll see him starting the big games ahead of Pepe or Lacazette with Auba up front.

Benayoun was critical in those final games in 11/12 for us when he played on the left. He did well.

Benayoun and Arteta saved our midfeld in 11/12. Made up for dogshit signings like Santos and Gervinho.

Great debut. Can't wait to see him lift a few trophies with us.

he struggled to get going today today, but West Ham where playing negative football, i counted 9 men back for most of our attacking moves, he couldn't find a way through.

I thought he was fine, played some key passes in the first half but attackers didn't do anything with them.

Still think he's a much better option than Pepe atm.

As Chelsea fans said, he turns up when he wants to and rarely creates.

This might turn out to the true over the season, time will tell.

However you financiers want to paper over it. We've paid a stupid amount of money for a 32 year old reject on his last legs.

£35m over 3 years. Or £11.6m a year for this piece of dross.

£110k a week, & £17.8m signing fee ( £5.95m a year)

No wonder Raul was sent packing.

How much have we spent on Luiz, Mari, Cedric, Suarez and now Willian ? Probably close to £100m.
