What is more interesting to this story is who said he was on holiday. If he's not allowed to attend, then why mention the holiday???
Seems to me that it's Ozil being treated incredibly poorly by Arteta.

It's not Arteta. It's Raul and Co.

Arteta has spoken well of Ozil when asked. Unlike with 'Douzi.

Then Arteta is weak.

Feels like he’s been told not to use Ozil in order to force him out. Pretty sure they were friends but if you were Arteta you’re not gonna go against the board right now either, he needs this job and needs to make it work so why fall on his sword for a once world class but now past it player?

There is no evidence of it being the board forcing ozil out and not arteta.

Strange way to force Ozil out if he's training with the first team, being featured in promotional materials and getting time off to go sightseeing in Istanbul.

Arteta has said he has left him out for 'purely footballing reasons'.

That to me says he has made the decision.

Bloke on Ozil's left is supposedly the head coach of İstanbul Başakşehir.

Arsenal are ready to pay off the £18m remaining on Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil's contract, which runs for another year, or subsidise the 31-year-old's £350,000-a-week wages if he moves to another club. (Mirror)

Not impressed.

Surely a loan is better and at least get some of that money back unless they are planning on selling him?

Sell him for £10m - £15m and recoup over half the wages back.

If we aren't using him then sell him

Paying him off makes no sense cos he's shown no desire not to play for us. He's ready and willing.

If he stays he almost certainly won't get more than walk-on parts in minor games, spending 18.5m for that is not good value, if we can pay him off and save 5m or loan him and save 5m we won't in reality be losing anything on the pitch ... we can pretend he will be the player he was four years ago but the statistics say 2019/20 saw him make 20 appearances for 1 goal 2 assists, that's what we got for 18.5m last year ... that's simply not worth worrying about.
