100%. I’ve always been a fan of Özil, but even now I’m beginning to grow tired of this nonsense. However, him signing for us was still massive and he was really good for us for a long time. Seems like it’s coming to an end but I still love the guy for choosing us.

theHotHead wrote:Mate stats can be made to suit any agenda. Lets look at the totals:
Cesc - 23936 mins, 149 goals or assists.
Ozil - 20949 mins, 121 goals or assists - adjusted to match 23936 mins (using your 173 mins per goal/assist) = 138 goals or assists.

Now compare the players/team that Cesc played with, with the players team Ozil played with, its a miracle Ozil gets anywhere near Cesc's figures !!

Hahaha.
Cesc was miles better than Ozil at Arsenal in basically each and every department whatever stats you want to put up.
The only stats you can compare the 2 is the Chances created / Assists. And even with that Cesc wipes the floor with Ozil. And remember Cesc played mostly as a CM or Deep sitting midfielder a bit like Xhaka.
Ozil has spent 99% of his career as an attacking player on the wing or his favourite no10 position.
Cesc was twice the player for us compared to Ozil.
Simple facts.
And about the players Cesc played with being better than those Ozil has played with at Arsenal. Smh
So you know that Cesc was a rookie youngster that broke into the team at 17 years old, never looked back as he was constantly our best go to man from such a young age.
These are the players that cesc played with and made them
These are players started witg while the invincibles were moving on due to age.

Remember Fabregas was a rookies and a youngster himself.

ROOKIES
Walcott
Wilshere
Song
Ramsey
Denilson.
Djourou
Sendros
Bendtner
Sczny
Fabianski the guy we used to label as Flabbyianski.
Hoyte
Armond Traore
Gibbs
Clichy
Frimpong
Coquelin
J.E.T
Vela
Flamini
Lansbury
Jay Simpson
Etc

Then you had the likes of
Almunia
Chamark
Silvestre
Eboue
Manone
Etc

Then you had Injury prones that hardly played.
Van persie
Rosicky
Diaby
Eduardo

Unknowns that ended up good
Adebayor
Hleb
Asharvin
Nasri
Sagna

Established
Gallas
Kolo
Etc.

And remember, cesc was the engine and go to man since he broke into the team. Never had these cringeworthy excuses that you lot have done to death for Ozil. No excuses were consistently made for him even if he was so young. If he had poor performances he was criticised individually, not blaming everyone and everything around him including the kitchen sink.

Ozil came to Arsenal supposedly in his prime and the the right age 24-25 years old. But the constant excuses you guys have made and keep making for him you would think he was a 17-20 year old rookie.

^^^^who cares the problem is Ozil has no interest in improving those statistics, he would simply rather sponge his wage.

You can't soar like an eagle when you’re surrounded by turkeys. Ozil had guys like Cazorla, Ramsey and Wilshere to play with. Now he has Guendozi, Torreira and Willock.
