Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil, 31, will not leave the club this summer and instead see out the remaining year left on his Gunners contract. (Fanatik, via Football London)

Good news

Let's appreciate his talent for one more year before he rides off in to the sunset

Yep - 1 more year from Ozil. he will be very hard to replace. We'll be losing our best player in a years time.
Hope he gets a big final contract at another club.
He deserves it for all he has put in to Arsenal.
Our most talented player AND one the hardest working players we've had at the club in the last 10 years.

Another 3 league assists guaranteed.

When's he getting his statue?

He got that contract here to idle up to the finish line, no other club is stupid enough to offer anything near our contract

Defintely one of our 2 best players at the club, will be a massive loss and drop in quality when he leaves.

Should build an Unai statue tbh. Would symbolize Arsenal. If any manager ever epitomized modern day Arsenal and her aspirations, it's Emery.

And whomsoever thought it was right to hire him, fire him. But most Gooners deserved Emery.

Emery will ultimately be a blip in Arsenal's history. But Ozil is still lucky that he even got picked for our first European final in 13 years, despite not making any impact during the QFs and SFs when the rest of the team were putting everything out there.

Emery f***ked up this season beyond redemption and deserved the sack. But Ozil has shown that no manager can revive a zombie. Wenger couldn't, Emery didn't bother, and Arteta can't either.

Mesut Ozil is still the highest chance creator in the side with 2.3 chances per 90. Nicolas Pepe is second with 1.9 chances while academy prodigy Joe Willock has created 1.5 chances per game.
