meet in the middle, around 14-15m would do, getting his 200k a week wages off the bill plus his age.

I didn't mind Mkhy but he was nothing special.

Roma are reluctant to meet Arsenal's £22m asking price for midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The Armenian, 31, is on a season-long loan at the Serie A club. (Calciomercato, via Star)

Nothing rumor. His price was £18m last I heard and we will obviously accept much less. The priority is to get his £10m/yr wages off the books.

I'll wager £10 that we sell for under £15m when all is said and done.

even for 10 million we would sell. We have too many players on bad contracts and the priority is to move them. Roma knows this and has huge advantage in the negotiations. Its not like we have bunch of clubs fighting for his signature

Roma want Arsenal to pay a portion of Armenia midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s £180,000 weekly salary if the Premier League side want to make the 31-year-old’s loan move permanent. (ESPN)

Lol so we get rid but we have to keep paying the guys wages for the time he plays there, heard it all now.

What would make more sense is if they tell him they’d like to sign him but they can’t afford his salary so would he take cut. That’s unless they have and he’s said no, either way paying his salary would be weird if he’s their player.

What they’re essentially saying is they don’t want to pay 10 million for him, even that is too much for him, which shows how average he is.

If we have to pay part of his wages we might as well keep him. If it is a substantial amount definitely keep, if it is a small amount then Roma can stretch to make up that shortfall. Either way, Arsenal don't lose out.

Selling him for just £9m is better than keeping him until 2021, loaning him out or not playing him and then releasing him.

Only way this works is if we have first-option for Ünder.

Forgo Mkhi's fees. Roma would be willing to pay his wages then. Get that first-option for Cengiz.

It would be nice but he'd want Ozil's or Pepe's spot.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan's agent has denied that Arsenal want to sell the Armenian. Mino Raiola said the rumours about the midfielder, 31, were "fake news". (Express)

The amount of money Arsenal has wasted in the past 3 years is criminal.

Looking at the state of our midfield, I can't help but think he'd have made more of a contribution than the likes of Ozil, Torreira and Willock had he stayed. And this is including the 3 months he spent injured at Roma.

Still, needs to be sold to eliminate the last few embers of Wenger's dumpster fire final season.
