I would understand if AMN got fed up with playing RB and left, but putting Saka in that same position would backfire badly on us.

I disagree. Saka has had his best games for us playing as a LB, when he starts further forward he looks pants and has no end product. Playing at LB gives him a lot of space to burst into, he can use his pace and trickery on the ball to burst forward and he has looked like one of our better players wince Arteta joined.

He can't last 90 mins running up and down the full length of the pitch. He still has to defend, and we don't need an exhausted LB trying to track back against fresh legs. He's not Marcelo; at Real, it's understood that his defensive frailties are more than compensated for by his attacking ability and freedom to roam on the pitch.

Arsenal are at risk of losing Bukayo Saka, 18, on a free transfer at the end of next season as they struggle to agree a new contract with the teenager. (Metro)


Doesn't surprise me. Ineptness runs high at this club.
