I wouldn't want Liverpool winning a retrospective title (18/19) due to Man City's point deduction.

No. Thank you.

Same but like Shaka said here this story has so many layers to it

The big thing for me, after the dust settles, a significant layer which comes to mind is the further possible point deductions domestically.

This along with the truth to how long City have been cheating will completely undermine so much football which has happened over the last 5-6 years.

They won't lose a title because it's a UEFA violation, not an FA violation.

It'll probably end up in CAS where you hope the judges back up UEFA. Thankfully, they usually do.

Hadn't realised it was linked or leaked by Rui Pinto who was responsible for revealing the financial gains made by Isabel dos Santos and also the bribery and corruption at Benfica.

One of the emails, from City’s then chief financial officer, Jorge Chumillas, headed “Cashflow”, stated that Mansour’s own company vehicle, the Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG), would be paying £57m as a “contribution to 13/14 sponsorship fee”, while only £8m was Etihad’s “direct contribution”. Then Chumillas sent invoices for Etihad, internally to the City executives Ferran Soriano and Simon Pearce, stating that for 2015-16, the Etihad sponsorship was £67.5m, of which “£8m should be funded directly by Etihad and £59.5 [sic] by ADUG”.

So they were around £160m over FFP.

A good season in the CL, all things considered, is worth around that.

So it will be interesting to see how they make up for a £320m deficit in real terms to their income - and satisfy FFP!

Surely the likes of De Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero, , Sane, , Ederson etc will want to be playing champions league football, missing 1 season could be ok, but missing 2 seasons? Surely they can't stay...

UEFA not FIFA who made this disgraceful decision. An owner like Kroenke is worse than an owner who pumps money in. But City's owners should have known they'd be targeted for not being European or American.

In a world with only white football club owners in UEFA, City were always doomed

You think it's race-related?

You think UEFA have targeted Man City because their owners are not white?

Race baiting, really? The colour of the owners is irrelevant, they are judged solely on their actions. They knew the rules, they threw the money around and broke the rules, they have to face the consequences.

I don't think it's just the clubs owned by Arabs they're going after. AC Milan have a one year ban from the Europa League. A lot of small clubs are getting sanctioned as well. We'll see if something happens to Real Madrid because from reports I'm seeing, they needed to sell some major players by Janaury in order to stay in line with FFP rules.

AC Milan are owned by an investment company that took control after the original Chinese owners/hedge fund failed to repay the loans given to them.

If the owners didn't f**k about, similar to Man City, then they wouldn't be in the situation they are in.
