The police took the men back to the scene of the crime so they could help find the victim's phone. There the men tried to escape, and were all shot dead.

How reliable was the evidence against them though? Looks suspicious to me on the face of it. Police under massive pressure to catch the rapists, then they take their four suspects out on a jolly together to the crime scene and kill them all? Very convenient
