Why is he running away from the ball? He should be going and getting it, he's a play-maker he couldn't score in a brothel, what's the point of these 'decent runs' when he has Lacan and Auba for that? ... to me he's hiding, just 38 touches when Xhaka and Guedouzi were both >65 ... not good enough.

That's the problem though, he's a deep CM more for tackling ball winning, he shouldn't be the last man on the ball as often as he is, Willock or Ozil should.

I noticed this issue weeks ago.

He was playing predominantly lw or rw yesterday so that's exactly what he should be doing. Making runs and linking the play I can't fathom how other people can't see it.

And it's not hiding if you've ever played football in that position you will know what I mean. Often in football players make decent runs and it relies on the player on the ball to play it quick to capitalise on space the opposition leaves. Unfortunately we have a whole squad of low footballing iq players and Ozil is not in that category.

Look Ozil didn't have a great game yesterday but when our midfield are so slow at progressing the ball teams can get reorganised and condense the space.

*** Probably why our midfield has never recovered from the hole Santi left behind. He was our cheat player and could do everything both footed, could dribble, pass, tackle and above all he was a smart footballer. God I miss him!

Nothing I didn't expect, kept the ball ticking, was unable to play any incisive passes. We looked a much bigger threat overall than under that limp dick Emery.

He did get an assist. Thats was all Lacazette, none of his corners really did much.

He needs to be thrown out the club January 1st, no questions asked.

The fact all the chances we made where Luiz and Xhaka hoofing the ball forward or passing it to Pepe and hoping shows how useless and ineffective a player he is. Players don't even trust him. he just passes it as soon as he gets it, even to the referee!

Just f**k off Ozil!

Going through the motions - Ozil '14 - 77 touches per game, Ozil '15 - 79 touches per game ..... Ozil '19 <40 touches per game .... he's just winding down his contract and filling his bank account, a good player always demands the ball Ozil just doesn't, enough said.

Ozil is running at less than 50% of what he can do. Doesn't really try to do that much anymore - going through the motions.
His association with Wenger means he has to go.

It's not that Ozil is bad - he is/was clearly a class act - it's just since 2015 he's been so easy to play against. The opposition manager must look at our starting line and smile - Ozil - Auba - Laca - three players who whilst individually excellent can be shut out of the game just by blocking their access to the ball. If you now look at how even the weakest EPL teams play us it's exactly the same ...

Isolate the front three, this works because none of them are prepared to go looking for the ball - looking at yesterday, but it's the same every week, Ozil, Lacca, Auba between them manged just 91 passes just 7 into the Brighton box ... from 91 attempts a quarter 24 went astray, between them they managed a massive 5 tackles all lost (Ozil didn't make even one attempt at a tackle in 90 minutes) ... between them they won just 1 header, think about that all those long balls for just 1 header won, how easy is that for a defence? So that's arguably our best three players about as involved as a eunuch in an orgy.

Every opposing manger knows this, just isolate the front three and you can play 5 v 3 in the middle and overload our defence with runners, that works because we lack pace all across the back eight and everyone knows it ... simple plan that is now beating us week in week out.

Why pick on Ozil? well he's the 350k a week dynamic player who is supposed to be our creator, the player who should be seeing as much of the ball as possible .... compare his involvement to KDB, Eriksen, Rues, Silva, Dybala, Muller, Isco and he's not even close ... when six of our weaker players are seeing more off the ball than our supposed play-maker you just know things are not working.

He can't shoot no more, even when he wants to. He sums up everything wrong with this club and whats wrong with the game in general.

When we brought him in 2013 we thought he would take us to the next level. Look at how its ended!
